so ive been wondering this for a while....for those of you who can go to the parks constantly is it still as "magical" going as it was when/if you couldn't go as often? because personally for me part of the "magic" of going to the park is not being able to go often and working my butt off to get there so i appreciate it more i think because i dont/cant go often. what do you guys think?

I have been to DL 25+ times since movie back to California, and to be honest, the magic is there for me every visit. whether its from a character whom I've never seen in the parks before or an attraction I've always overlooked. I grew up with Disney, and it's magic will never fade away for me. No matter the amount of times I visit :) - PrincessMacy  536.5 #405 11:05PM
thank you! i only go once a year or so so its always magical to me but ive been thinking about relocating to southern cali at some point and its always lingered at the back of my brain that i hope if i go so many times that the magic will slowly fade away. something tells me no but its happened to me with other theme parks. then again, DL is not just another theme park lol. - akeleh  293.5 #994 11:08PM
LOL! Disney is always expanding and adding different attractions and shows to the parks and I think they do that so its guests won't get tired of the same stuff each time they visit. One of my friends that's lives in Irvine visits the park at least 3 times a week and always finds something he's never seen before :) Disney likes to keep the magic fresh! :) - PrincessMacy  536.5 #405 11:12PM
so true so true! - akeleh  293.5 #994 11:19PM
What's magical for me going so often is that I will see something new every few trips. Something small that I hadn't noticed before. I also enjoy getting pics with characters and there have been many days recently that I've seen characters that I hadn't seen before. I still love walking through the gates and hearing the turnstile chime. - LilSterner  5749.2 #23 11:10PM
another good point. i bet theres probably at least a million things i still havent seen. thanks! - akeleh  293.5 #994 11:13PM
The magic for me is in walking under the train and never seeing the outside world. I have been going to Disneyland for a good 35 years and the magic has never worn off. In fact if anything it has expanded as I have grown through the years. Just the simple fact that Disneyland can still make this 40 year old man laugh, cry, and feel like a kid every time I walk through the gate. That my friend is true magic and can never be vanquished. - Evilstitch  338.5 #736 6:47AM

I could go every week(but I don't) and I would never get tired of it. Yesterday I got to meet Cinderella,Paula(the mouse),and the fairy godmother and I was just so excited cus I never met them oh and people watching too is so much fun looking at all the kids having fun! - princessVanessa  384.3 #604 11:09PM
thats a good point. so many characters to see! ive always wanted to people watch but because im only there for so long it seems like it would be a waste of time instead of going on a ride or something.i guess if i moved down though it wouldnt really matter that much....thank you! - akeleh  293.5 #994 11:12PM
For me, every time is like a first visit...I live close enough to enjoy the parks on a frequent basis...I work hard and it is awesome to have the opportunity to visit to relieve the stress of life...plus, now with MW, I have the opportunity to hang out with great folks and always always almost always have the opportunity to meet someone new that loves Disneyland and Disney as much as I do...plus you make fantastic lifelong friends that you see outside of the parks as well...I count my blessings each time I walk through those gates indeed :-) - uscdisneyteacher  8403.8 #10 11:12PM
thank you usc! ive been wanting to meet some of you but its hard since im down there often. - akeleh  293.5 #994 11:17PM

I been going twice a week for the past couple of months and still the same feeling of excitement everytime im there just walking down main st hearing the music just being in that place always brings that innerchild out of me and i dont think myself or anyone would get tired of that. - LoneRAYnger  4261.6 #35 11:15PM

Ditto what lilsterner and uscdisneyteacher said. I've had an AP for more than 20 yrs. I go a couple times a week and every time is special. I always see or learn something new and get to hang out with friends making new memories, but I also remember so many past trips. A certain smell, sight, or sound can take me back to a trip long ago. Some days are relaxing, some exciting. Sometimes I'm by myself and other times with friends or family. No two trips are ever the same, but every trip is magical. - Mimmy  1442.3 #123 11:21PM
thats a very nice comment. thank you! the smellitzers (i think thats what theyre called?) from the chocolate (i think its a chocolate?) shop on main street always remind me of my first trip and when my mom got me something from there. so yummy and such a good memory. - akeleh  293.5 #994 11:26PM
i get so jealous too! lol. yet another reason why im thinking of relocating down there. 3 days a year just doesnt seem to be enough for me anymore. - akeleh  293.5 #994 11:23PM
I am lucky enough to go at least 2x a month, sometimes more! Each visit is different and special. Sometimes it's enjoying the park with family/friends (many I have made here!). And other times I just enjoy being by my self. I love to see the usual 'monuments' - the castle, the Matterhorn. The wonder of the magic on guests' faces (especially the little ones). The attention to detail - difference in the Lands, changes to the shop windows, the flowers and landscaping. There is always something new to see and experience. - Gia  802.0 #237 11:23PM
i love seeing the little ones faces! so cute lol. thank you! - akeleh  293.5 #994 11:32PM

Never gets old! Disneyland forever will be magical. And everytime i go i am grateful that i can afford my premium annual pass. I feel lucky that i get to visit the parks when i feel like because i dont live that far (25 min) and because of the wonderful people i have met through here that help me create even more magical memories! - ScarfGirl  644.8 #323 11:38PM

I have been going regularly since my son has been a yr old. For several years we have gotten AP. He's now soon to be 21 yrs old next month and he still gets excited about going. My boyfriend just shared that he might be transferring to NY and wants me to go with him...my son and I's first thought was...no more Disneyland!???!? No other thought but that.... So no...it never gets boring. We went just last week and the weather was perfect. My son turned to me and said why doesn't this ever get old? There is always something that gives it a fairy tale magic. Also it helps being a Disney fan... My bf doesn't care for it...but if he really wants us to move to NY...there's has to be a contract...yearly trip to Disney World. - verofern  138.4 #2970 5:42AM
I go all the time as a guest... Sometimes up to 3 times any given week and I'm usually on resort property 5 days a week for work and it's still magical to me. I love visiting the parks as a guest, and I also still see new things all the time. I also love taking my soon to be 2 year old and watching her experience things for the first time that I did when I was her age. I don't know if Disney could ever lose its magic for me. - CMJenKWorth  125.0 #3184 6:36AM
Mine is probably not a unique perspective but I moved to SoCal for my job.. 22 months I was there and visited the park at least twice a week.. I have a high pressure job and it was magical each time because it offers an escape. I always feel so good in the parks.. Sadly enough I got promoted and moved to Texas back in October.. The magic is there but I will say I took for granted the fact I could go whenever I wanted. - MMDiver  276.3 #1130 7:06AM
I went about 7 times in January and to be completely honest.....Yes! I get excited as I enter the lines and am about to enter the park and rides. The excitement is also there as I'm pulling into the parking lot.....lol. I've had a pass since I was in high school my friends and I were Disney freaks and still are :) - sassyjnet  35.5 #5656 7:11AM
As a kid I hated Disneyland I never wanted to go. Now I go at least 2times per week. I must have been one dumb kid because now I never want to leave disneyland. And it is always changing every time I go I find a new hidden Mickey or try a new restaurant see the parade it's all so exciting I wanna go now before work - maxinerenton  422.7 #542 7:12AM
I want you two to know that some of us who do get to go all time think of you all who can't go all the time with a heavy heart. This is truly one if the reasons I like to take pictures and post about our doings. So know we are not just there for ourselves, but for you too. Keeping the park warm. }:) - Evilstitch  338.5 #736 7:16AM
I used to only be able to go once a year if we were super lucky. This year, my friend and I got APs, and we've been probably about 6 times since July. I won't lie, I still absolutely love Disneyland, and I appreciate everything they have to offer, and I still get excited to go into the park, but it's not as super exciting as when we only went once a year. It's not like an, OMG we're in Disneyland I have to go on everything ever! it's now more of a, well, what shall we do now? If we don't get to go on something, it's not the end of the world. It has lost some of it's spark, but none of it's magic. I still love the park, and I'm super excited to go again in <March, but it's differen.t - jamielynn  163.3 #2566 7:49AM
You're right, part of the magic does come from the hard work we all put in to be able to get to the parks. For me, I used to go only once a year either during summer vacation or Christmas break because I was still living out of state. But as soon as I moved to California for college, I got myself an annual pass. What was even better is that the annual pass became easier for me to afford with the monthly payments option. I give up the indulgence of having 4 of the many Venti White Iced Mochas i used to drink from Starbucks every month just so I can go to Disneyland. I think it's worth it! Lol - rbeezy  703.0 #287 7:57AM
We got annual passes for Christmas and have been 7 times since, 8 including later today. It really doesn't lose it's magic! I agree with a lot of the folks who've responded, it's all about finding something new. I noticed something on Pirates last visit that I've never seen in all 17 years since my first visit. It's things like that that make it magical still! It's amazing how many new things I'm noticing with each visit!! - PrincessLunn  14.2 #9163 8:06AM
Like you, we can only manage every year or so, and each time we go I feel like a little kid, I get so exited. I think Disneyland is just one of those places, (like Never Never Land) where we never have to grow old! Even if I were lucky enough yo go every week, it would always be magical. - Aeloriel  6.5 #15368 8:13AM
I've been an annual passholder for about twenty years and we go at least twice a month. It definitely has not lost its magic. I'm always excited to go and feel lighter the minute we get there. There's always something new. Having the AP lets me not freak out about going on all the rides every time so I can slow down and enjoy the magic. I literally have time to stop and smell the flowers :) and notice the little things that make the parks so wonderful. - ArchaeoMouse  224.2 #1726 8:21AM
We're Premium AP holders and go all the time. Still just as magical as it was that first day last year. So many memories! Have met so many wonderful people too! Hopefully we'll never have to give up being pass holders. - Pintraderswife  468.3 #481 8:26AM

MouseWait COUNTDOWN for iOS is here! Countdown the days to your next Disneyland or Disney World trip with our images OR your pics! Your Countdown also displays on Apple Watch and is beautiful on iPhone 6 screens. Secure the discounted launch price for a limited time.

So from the looks of it, there is not even one app made for those of us on android. You know there are millions of people who do not own iPhones. Its kind of rediculous these days not to offer an android version of apps. Would love to help this site grow by donating, but I see no point in that when there appears to be no intrest by the app builders here to support android. I mean how about atleast a partialy functional app so we can feel that theΒ android users are even wanted as a part of the mousewait community.Β I see lots of requests and sad posts about no android, but dont see any replys by the site to the fact that anyone is even working on it.I've checked back here every so offten to see if there is anything for android users, but never bothered joining until today.I just wanted to rant a little, and now I am done.Unfortunalty, at this point I think I am officaily giving up on mousewait.Β Thanks for reading Β and understanding my frustrations ( i hope ) and please everyone........Have a Disney-tastic day!Mark - molney14u  0.1 #105887 11:05AM
I have an iPhone and an old droid. I use the old droid for wait times when my iPhone can't connect and it works fine. There's so many droid phones to have  separate apps for but I hope android makers would start using the basic same code and security but I'm probably wishing on a star for that . I miss my droid but a lot of apps don't work the same.  - secretagentangel  6446.0 #20 8:10PM
I have the countdown and I love it! - tree320  0.6 #0 9:26AM

Disneyland unFORECAST (BETA) is here! Top MouseWaiters giving you the rundown of what's happening at the Disneyland Resort. The unFORECAST now has its own page on the web www.unFORECAST.com

unFORECAST for the month of May 2016
The last few weeks have been relatively quiet, but we will see crowds rise as we get to the end of May, especially toward the end of the month when Grad Nite begins. Looking back at MouseWait's Historical Crowd Index (available in our MagicPlan iOS Calendar), crowds averaged in the high 70s (approx 70% capacity), then the Crowd Index rose to the 80s toward the end of the month. Remember, we've seen larger crowds ever since the 60th Celebration began, so keep that in mind when looking at historical Crowd Index data. To get a real-time look at crowd levels, check the MouseWait App for Crowd Index averages and wait times. Have a great week! - Admin May 9, 2016 5:42PM

We have always noticed that Saturdays are better than Sundays! We always come on the weekend and say we want to leave at dinner time on Sunday, but always leave by 11-12 because there are so many people. We love Saturday!! - 1Princess3Princes  643.2 #325 5:39PM
