Has anyone ever started a petition that Disney actually read? I want to start one to try and make the menus a little more allergy friendly but I do not want to waste my time if they wont even give it a second look.

Speaking as a foods CM, all you really do is to let the cashier/host know before ordering. All food locations are accommodating for the most part. - CM_Clopin  247.8 #1029 9:37PM

I know :-) and I thank you guys for your hard work but I still don't understand why there isn't a list similar to the gluten free one for other allergies? It just gives a better idea of where to go to eat in the parks. I get so frustrated when I walk up to a place and realize that there is nothing I can have, very annoying! But I do appreciate the hard work you put into insuring no cross contamination happens. - tiggertwin  317.8 #532 5:45PM
It just depends on the restaurant. Quick service is hard to cater to a specific allergy, but we usually try our hardest to do so :) I do agree about the soy milk!! I've heard guests ask about soy milk a lot lately. I think we should start offering it :) - CMshelleybee  428.1 #294 5:48PM
My biggest wish is that you guys would offer one vegan style dessert at some of the quick service areas like Hungry Bear. Those dang cupcakes and pies are TORTURE! :) - tiggertwin  317.8 #532 5:59PM
Gluten and casein free is the big one lately that's hard to find (in general, not just DL) - cesium55  529.7 #217 6:04PM
Most people don't realize that casein is milk bi-product and its in everything :/ I bought a roast chicken with bbq sauce on it at the store yesterday and I checked the ingredients just to be safe and it had casein in it. It is seriously annoying! So I feel your pain. - tiggertwin  317.8 #532 6:57PM
Sorry but I don't think they will. Good luck in your efforts. Perhaps theres a number or protocol? - 559MickeyLover  266.9 #857 8:58PM
I agree. I bet you would need a ton of signatures for them to even look at it. - Fruitbythefoot  33.3 #4238 10:12PM
I was just reading a blog called allergyeats.com that talks about what a great job WDW does with accommodating special diets and providing information. I wonder why Disneyland does not do the same thing? - PrincessKristin  776.5 #124 9:46PM
I called and the guy couldn't tell me anything other than Disneyland is smaller than WDW. Seems stupid to me, but hey what do I know. WDW offers soy milk and tofu ice cream which I am sure sounds gross to some people but it is allergy free and would be a wonderful sweet treat for those of us who miss things like fudge and Tiggertails. - tiggertwin  317.8 #532 5:42PM
Which Disney? - Mouse4life  1083.4 #78 8:58PM
Go to City Hall and put in your complaint. And if they change the menu's for you what about all the other guests that may be allergic to that. They always read compliants and requests. - splashphotoCM  880.9 #101 9:16PM
I don't need them to change the menu but to make a list for those of us who are allergic to dairy similar to the gluten free one and to possibly add things like soy milk to their restaurants. I have already filed a few complaints and was told I would see something by January 2012 and still nothing. - tiggertwin  317.8 #532 9:30PM
Got ya. - splashphotoCM  880.9 #101 5:51PM
My sister is allergic to tree nuts and everywhere we've gone we have been able to tell the host or CM and they've been able to accommodate us. Even in the shops where you can buy goodies they have a book that lists what each item may have been exposed to. - lovesyou21  407.7 #321 10:23PM
Have you called the park directly and asked? Have you inquired with Disney Dining and asked? - Butterlina  1307.8 #62 5:48PM
I have, they just give me the round about and very cookie cutter answers. - tiggertwin  317.8 #532 6:00PM
Prbly not. 😂😂😂 they have Imaganeers for that stuff and focus groups. - Mrsblue  692.4 #145 6:02PM
I feel you on this. I have found the cruise line to be way more accommodating when it comes to food restrictions. We have passed up places that we really wanted to try because of the lack of choices. - Lelundrial  341.2 #429 8:02PM
