Okay guys, I need some help. I've started phase 1 of the South Beach diet and I don't know what to eat when I come to Disneyland. I can't have any breads, rice, pasta, potatoes, sugar, fruit, or alcohol. Any "in park" dining suggestions? Guess no churros or frozen bananas for me! :-(

Sooooo what can you eat? ;) Good luck! - ladylikesdisney  921.5 #95 6:55PM

Why not weight watchers??? It really works ( I fell of the wagon bc of stress but I'll be getting back on) but it works! There is even a really good copycat app you can download. - UncoolBunny  70.9 #3401 7:39PM
Uncool what's the copy cat app called? I have done it before and want to start again without going to meetings and weigh ins. - akpoppins  243.3 #1074 7:43PM
Let me get the link...how do I do those tiny link? - UncoolBunny  70.9 #3401 7:46PM

I say when you go to the park its fine to break the diet for the day! - Fade2blk  303.0 #597 7:39PM
^^what he said!! :). Remember, there are no calories in Disneyland! - kss4tink  216.8 #1399 7:49PM
I trying to avoid that, but man! It's tempting! I really wanted some tasty drinks at Trader Sams! - hunnybee7777  184.9 #1810 7:57PM
You might also want to post this in the Chub33 forum--there are a few MWers who are doing SB in there who might have some good advice :) - Spoonful_O_Sugar  436.3 #285 6:54PM
And I'm not too familiar with SOuth Beach, but I would think Bengal Barbeque chicken or beef skewers without any sauce would be good! - Spoonful_O_Sugar  436.3 #285 6:56PM
I'm not seeing frequent posts in chub33. It's not the same kind of forum as this one, right? - hunnybee7777  184.9 #1810 7:36PM
Yep! It's just a much smaller community--you won't get answers right away, but it's a specialized forum, so you'll probably get more accurate answers :) - Spoonful_O_Sugar  436.3 #285 7:39PM
Corn on da cob :) - SteamboatMinnie  309.9 #563 6:55PM
No, corn is a carb :( - PrincessKristin  776.6 #124 6:57PM
I try to stick to Bengal BBQ or you can get baked chicken at plaza inn, and in dca there is that greeK place with the skwers and corn on the con. It's pretty easy to stick to just meat and veggies! - akpoppins  243.3 #1074 6:57PM
Stick with green veggies and lean protein - and bring South Beach bars for snacks. - PrincessKristin  776.6 #124 6:58PM
What about the italian chef salad at the pizza place in DCA and just get vinegar for dressing and take off the cheese? - yellowtonka  237.7 #1138 6:59PM
Or how about the skewers from the mediteranean resturant in DCA...or maybe even call and talk to someone at Disneyland because basically all you can have is vegis and meat protein right? - yellowtonka  237.7 #1138 7:04PM
I agree stick with bangle BBQ. The food is yummy there. - Mrstefer  116.6 #2794 7:01PM
Yes, salads I can do. I can have most white cheeses also. No corn on the cob tho. :-( It's full of carbs. No carrots either. - hunnybee7777  184.9 #1810 7:08PM
That diet has been known to make peoples hair fall out, among other things.  Look into the Paleo diet.  You at least can have some really good foods, just most of it is organic. - TheBudd  357.3 #398 7:33PM
it's basically the same diet, but you can make "paleo" type breads at least to make sammiches with. There is this one you make out of almond butter and honey. SOOOO good. - TheBudd  357.3 #398 7:35PM
Salad - tink08  151.2 #2275 7:55PM
Thunder Ranch BBQ chicken Breast. - rubedog  23.6 #4781 7:58PM
Thunder Ranch is a good on cause its all you can eat proteins and you can order the vegi kabobs just skip the bread. - yellowtonka  237.7 #1138 8:27PM
Bengal BBQ no sauce. - Minnis2Society  360.0 #391 8:26PM
There are lots of good salads!   - Dsnygrl64  153.3 #2249 8:30PM
