Hey #PRESSEDPENNY collectors! If you really want a good, copper colored penny, make sure you use pennies before 1982, or 1980 to be on the safe side. That's when they started using zinc in the pennies which, when pressed, makes it green. I heard 1982 had both copper and zinc pennies, so that's why pre-1980 is best.

With Brasso polish they become very shiny, also the older the coin is the best impression it gets, I pressed some and had great results - irmouse
