Hi, I've had a lot of changes the past few weeks. My husband accepted a job near Modesto, and we will be moving. He has already left to start work, my girls and I will wait until we get a house before we move. On a positive note, I will only be 4 1/2 hours from Disneyland, instead of 8 hours away. :) I'm stressed about the move and how it may affect my girls. Also it is in the same town my in laws live, I never eat well there. I'm stressed.

Wow I bet that is a stressful situation. The only peice of advice I can give you is that sometimes we forget about ourselves during these type of events. What I mean is don't try to please others YOU have to be happy. As bad as this sounds your kids will get over the move and make new friends and each side of family will adjust to distance away from each other. Make sure you keep you in mind. I mean no disrespect in my words nothing but MW Fam Lurve. - Cricket  224.4 #1676 7:08AM
I'm also an emotional wreck, happy one minute and sobbing the next. Help!! Right now, it's an ugly cry moment. - Mrs.mouse  543.6 #376 12:10PM
Aw, that must be stressful! But congrats to your hubby for landing a job! Try to look at it as a fresh, new start :) I'm not too far from Modesto! - Spoonful_O_Sugar  613.1 #331 12:58PM
@SOS, thanks, I'm drinking a diet coke, and trying to calm down. We will be about 30 min from Modesto in Newman. :) - Mrs.mouse  543.6 #376 1:11PM
We are up in the foothills--the good news is that the Modesto mall has a Disney Store! - Spoonful_O_Sugar  613.1 #331 7:00AM
Being closer to DL is always a plus! I can imagine being stressed, especially since your husband is already there! Just think of it as a new chapter in your adventure book and take it on with a smile and a positive attitude. That will help your girls too. Also help them find a way to organize all of their friends contact info so they can be email buddies, pen pals etc as a way to stay in contact. Good luck! - LisaMouse7531  410.1 #543 2:20PM

Thank you all for your encouragement. Today was a good day. I'm still having some adjustment issues. - Mrs.mouse  543.6 #376 9:57PM
I'm glad to hear that things are looking better today.  Are you sad because you're moving away from your family?  Wouldn't it maybe be good to have your in-laws near (possible "date nights"?!?).  My life is one big adjustment these days (and I don't do change that well).  I'm stuck in a "I want my life to go back to the way it was before" funk... I really just think that I miss my mommie (time for another trip).  At least I'm doing good on the diet again... I got one of my employees on it so it's actually kind of fun.  HANG IN THERE!!! - msdizmaui  716.8 #270 12:09AM
I'm sad because my girls will have to change schools, leave their friends, leave their home. I'm torn between my family and my husbands family. I don't know what to do. My husband is living 4 1/2 hours away. My girls and I are visiting on the weekend, until we find a place to live. My family wants the girls and I to stay until June so my 5 yr old can finish the school year, my in-laws want us to move down today and live in our travel trailer until we can find a house. I'm confused, emotional, and stressed out. - Mrs.mouse  543.6 #376 1:29AM
Aw, yeah, I can understand how you feel torn. And Modesto must be quite a bit different from Redding. Have you asked your girls how they're feeling and what they'd like to do? - Spoonful_O_Sugar  613.1 #331 6:36AM
Wow...you do have a lot on your plate. I take it that you're good with the decision and your hubby's new job. If that's the case, then you just have to try to look at the move as an exciting new experience and know that you and your girls will make new friends. I kind of think that it would be good to stay until June - that way maybe your husband can find a place and get somewhat settled - don't know about you, but living in a trailer would just depress me more. Either way, try and stay positive...who knows... you may love it! - msdizmaui  716.8 #270 11:45PM

Yeah for me, I was emotionally stable and did not cry once today! First time in overa week. And I have been in plan and exercising. Go me! - Mrs.mouse  543.6 #376 8:01PM
Nice job!! - vernswifevickie  400.5 #563 6:30AM
Help! Being separated is awful. We are looking at houses this week. It's been so stressful doing everything by myself. I am not a good single parent. I want to quit and move, I don't care about the house thing anymore. A stressed out Mommy is not a happy one. That's not good. I don't know what to do!! - Mrs.mouse  543.6 #376 10:26AM
Faith, trust, and pixie dust! :) Have faith that everything will be just fine; trust in the higher power that guides you--He knows what's best for your family; and when the going gets tough, imagine yourself being sprinkled in pixie dust and lifted up. I don't know what the best decision is for you, but just know that we are here for encouragement and support. You have the power to do whatever needs to be done. It probably won't be easy, but you CAN do it. - Spoonful_O_Sugar  613.1 #331 7:53AM
Well you may feel lonely but you aren't alone! I've been thinking about you and hoping things work out, the sooner the better! I can't imagine being seperated from my husband like that and we don't even have children. You are very strong! Keep it up! - LisaMouse7531  410.1 #543 1:25PM

How are ya doing MrsMouse? Thinking of you and hoping you're feeling better :) - Spoonful_O_Sugar  613.1 #331 8:30AM
We are having difficulty finding a house. My husband is loving his new job. My girls really miss Daddy, but we are doing our best to keep things stable. This week we are going to Disneyland for 3 days. :) they are super excited. I am more emoationally stable. I've even found a near by gym. Thank you all for your support. - Mrs.mouse  543.6 #376 12:00PM
So glad things are looking up! You'll get through it, and you'll be a stronger person/family unit because of it :) - Spoonful_O_Sugar  613.1 #331 5:55PM
