I'm training for my first 10k (I'm from Canada, lol. Approx 6 miles is 10k for those who are wondering.) I hope to do the DL half marathon someday though, I'm not really a runner... - PixarDreamer

We do 5 and 10k's down here in the states too. Just did my first 5k adventure race on saturday. It was all over Mt St Helens ash dredge piles so they call it the Ash Kicker, it was major fun. - MightyWhitey 648.3 #165 6:35PM

Careful not to start too early. A typical "full" training cycle is only 18 weeks...... It's always good to set up a "training/trial" race in the middle of prep to prevent burn out. - georgieporgie
