do you have any idea how long it took me to realize this is the same creepy shower photo person... I think some people get paid to do this or somethin, lol. - TheBudd 357.3 #397 2:43PM

....I really want to vent, but don't know where to go that won't start some potential drama. Haha - Sweet_Irish_Cream

Haha. Sorry, I changed it. "Mental Health Days" are what my Mom would call days off of school we would take that weren't because we were sick or anything. Just sometimes you need a little breather from things. 😊 - Sweet_Irish_Cream 2550.6 #22 1:41PM
It's a whole long thing, but do people normally throw baby showers for themselves for each child? And register with spesific instructions, and there almost it's anything under 45$-50$.... - Sweet_Irish_Cream 2550.6 #22 1:55PM
I get when it's other people throwing it for you, but....sigh...it's complicated. 😏 At least I'll be on vacation so I don't have to worry. - Sweet_Irish_Cream 2550.6 #22 2:11PM
SIC, get her a target gift card and call it good or a giant pack of diapers in size 2 so she can use them when all the othe free ones run out! - akpoppins 243.3 #1069 2:38PM
Hm. Welp, if this helps ease your mind SIC - I haven't been to a baby shower yet that's been thrown by themselves - Jacqueline 546.7 #205 2:38PM
Helping with is understandable, but sending out the invites and everything yourself, saying you MUST included a gift receipt, if you get smaller items remember that other items go with it and it would be nice to include those too. It just starts to turn people off, I think. It looks pretty greedy. I think there are less obvious ways to be greedy. Haha. - Sweet_Irish_Cream 2550.6 #22 3:04PM
From my experience someone else throws you a shower, and only for the first child. Seems strange to throw your own shower, and more than once? - happiestplace 44.0 #3884 3:08PM
The best gift for a situation like this would to be to do one of those "Donation in their honor" things. Just look online for one of the charities that let's you donate and they give you a printable certificate and fill it in with "Baby (their last name)" then you look like a super good guy and they will look lame if they complain. Make sure it's a good one like underprivileged or starving children. yes, I can be secretly evil. - Bubbymia 178.7 #1880 3:16PM
Ok that is ridiculous, especially of its not their first baby! I would boycott the whole thing say you have plans and don't mention anything about delivering a gift or just buy her some diapers! - akpoppins 243.3 #1069 3:18PM
@SIC whoaaa.. I can see why you need to vent haha. From my experience in helping plan showers, one is typically thrown for the first child. The things you mentioned that they put on their invites are pretty darn demanding lol - Jacqueline 546.7 #205 3:37PM
Is this family SIC? That would seriously be a deal breaker for me- family or not. Lol - Melliott 299.4 #613 3:53PM
