Fake pins are out there and I was wondering if there were fake vinyls and how can you tell? Hope this is the right place to post. Thanks!
There is a serial number at the bottom of each vinyl, if the number starts with a FH64 or a FE60.... it is most likely a scrapper from Hong Kong.... Scrapper meaning someone dumpster dived behind Disney's production warehouse and got these outta dumpsters.... why were they in the dumpsters?? because the vinyl didnt make it past the production line due to quality.... most fake vinyls come out of Hong Kong though... and most of the time SUPER CHEAP!!! - VinylSteve

Great info @vinylsteve!!! Thanks for sharing! I've seen a bunch of these hong kong cheepos on eBay, they sounded too good to be true, guess they are. - Nesabell 157.7 #2220 2:54PM
This is why Steve has "Vinyl" attached to his name 😂😂😂😂😂 - MickeyMax

Ya. I was looking at my vinyls the other day and I realized that only one didn't have a serial number on the bottom. I did get it off eBay and it did come from hong kong. Now I know. I don't mind the one because I like it and it's part of a set and I won't be trading it bu now I know what to look out for... And I won't be buying any from hong kong again! Haha - RetroMinnie
