What was your worst fear as a kid while being at Disneyland? Mine was the haunted mansion elevator getting stuck.

That my girlfriends and I would get caught doing hanky panky stuff. - HotDiggityDogDaddy  1113.3 #140 8:54AM
I take it kat hasn't caught you yet, since you're still alive? - bluefairy  643.3 #274 11:12AM

The beams on POTC! They used to freak me out, too. Even though I knew I would be fine. - LaneSparrow316  847.0 #189 11:48AM
I was also afraid of the beams on POTC. The creaking noise was what bothered me the most. Even now I still look up at them and hope they don't fall, knowing that they won't. - Diznimom  222.3 #1613 1:32PM

On my one and only childhood visit to DL, I was so afraid of riding Splash Mountain. Being afraid of heights, the drop was too much for me. I cried the whole time in line, when it was time to board - I wouldn't get on. I can't believe my 10 year old self was such a chicken. - Jewelz  541.0 #340 9:00AM
The Yeti always scared the geebus outa me! - donnievegas  1132.6 #136 9:54AM

It's funny that lots of people are saying mr toad. That was my favorite as a kid and the hell scene was my favorite part! I called it "the hot room". πŸ˜‚ I was always terrified of the drop in pirates. - Jillian  767.1 #215 1:39PM
I rememeber the drop being a lot longer than now. As a kid it seem like Splash Mt size - Cricket  224.4 #1580 1:43PM
Hearing those dreaded words from my parents " It's time to go" - DreamingofDisney18  169.6 #2312 1:48PM
Hmmmm I don't think I had a fear when I was a kid, but now the drop on splash mountain freaks me out. I'll ride anything at six flags without a problem but splash mountain makes me very uncomfortable. - yasixtx103  5.0 #17020 8:52AM

Same - monkeboy2042_CM  317.0 #741 9:37AM
Going through the Matterhorn on the Skyride.  The abominable snowman scared me.  I didn't dare go on the Matterhorn Bobsleds until I was about 13. - DisneyPhotoFan  920.2 #174 9:39AM

Ahahaha, sadly that happened to me when I was little. Absolutely terrifying. - Jacqueline  580.0 #313 11:08AM
That's actually a good one. But imagine my situation. I lost my 4 year old nephew!! I was holding his hand like a good Uncle, and we were trying to find the rest of our family who had camped a prime spot for one of the Christmas parades. People were so rude!! We literally got walked thru so hard that it broke my grip on his hand and spun me in a circle. It was so crowded that I lost him and was literally getting pushed further and further away. I finally spotted him after searching for at least 4 minutes, I was so scared. He was standing by a cast member about 30 feet from where I got pushed to. - TheBudd  357.3 #595 11:43AM

I take it kat hasn't caught you yet, since you're still alive? - bluefairy  643.3 #274 11:12AM
POTC scared the bejebus out of me at the water battle scene, I always thought it was real and that we were really out in the ocean.  And then with rides like BTMRR and Space Mtn, I was always terrified that whichever of my parents was riding with me would go flying out of the car during a sharp turn... lol, those fears stuck with me til I was about 9 years old!! - TheBudd  357.3 #595 11:26AM
Mine was the submarines I was afraid that the windows would crack or something and we'd drown! πŸ˜“ - ceeceecue  20.6 #6532 11:33AM
In pirates towards the end that the burning logs and broken beams on the ceiling were real and they would fall down on us and then we would be trapped. - disneygirl19  122.3 #3043 11:37AM

And when I go in it with my kids I always tell them what I used to feel when we pass by it and they just laugh at me... :) - yvetteissogoofy  194.8 #1963 11:47AM

I was afraid of the spinning rocks in Nature's Wonderland, thought they would fall. Also th witch in Snow White, thought that boulder was going to fall on me too. - kskating  610.7 #295 11:52AM
Stromboli in the Pinocchio ride. When he "locks" you in the cage. That ALWAYS freaked me out as a kid.
- tuesday737  1254.8 #115 11:53AM
I'm terrified of the boat in POTC going backwards up the ramp, the beams falling, and the boat capsizing on the Storybook Canal attraction. - chelle1318  415.0 #481 11:54AM
Mr.Toad's Wild Ride their was something about that ride that would scare the bejebus out of me my dad would have to wait outside with me while my mom and sister would get on it and after yrs and yrs of not getting on that ride I got on it about a yr ago on my daughters 6th b-day so far I've been on it twice but if I could skip that ride altogether I would lol - LovelyTiggerGirl  273.1 #1041 11:55AM
Maybe its the trip to hell? I can see why that ride would creep someone out. - tuesday737  1254.8 #115 11:57AM
haha, yea it has to be the trip thru Hell. My nephews first time on it, I let him drive. And I just played the part of a nervous passenger. When we got to the part where you are suppose to get hit by the train, I really played the part (probably too well) so when we entered Hell, I told him "Great! Now look where you landed us!" by the time we got off he was bawling his eyes out, poor kid. I felt bad. But dang-it, he's a trooper, every time we go on it, he insists on driving, and is determined to steer clear of the train. End result is always a sad, crying 4 year old tho.. lol - TheBudd  357.3 #595 12:04PM
it must be that part lol cause when I was little I always dread when we would get close to that ride especially knowing that it was my mom's favorite so I always felt bad that my dad had to wait with me..the funny thing is my kids are ok with that ride but if I could steer clear away from it them I do..lol :D - LovelyTiggerGirl  273.1 #1041 12:12PM

I upgraded on my android phone and I still get adds on the bottom, the add removal does not work as it should. Β Often I simply force colse the app then the adds are removed. BUT it does work GREAT ony iPad. - gabes0969  432.1 #455 3:32PM

Disneyland unFORECAST (BETA) is here! Top MouseWaiters giving you the rundown of what's happening at the Disneyland Resort. The unFORECAST now has its own page on the web www.unFORECAST.com

unForecast for week of Monday, March 9, 2015:

Park Hours: DL: 9am-10pm (Monday-Thursday), 8am-12am (Friday-Sunday). DCA: 9am-9pm (Monday-Thursday), 8am-10pm (Friday-Sunday).

Taste Pilots Grill in DCA will reopen as Smokejumpers Grill on March 13 as apart of the new-themed area, Grizzly Air Field.

Attraction Closures: Critter Country (opens 4/3), Fortuosity Jewelry Shop (opens 3/13), Magic Eye Theater (TBD), Matterhorn (opens 5/16), Peter Pan (opens 5/8), Snow White Grotto (opens 5/1), Starcade (TBD), Soarin over California (opens 5/15), Grizzly River Run (opens 3/20), Luigi's Flying Tires (2016), World of Color (TBD).

unForecast Crowd Prediction: This week is the unofficial start of the Spring Break crowds, so expect the parks to be a little more crowded than normal. Also with only one showing of Fantasmic during the week, expect FPs for the show to go quickly along with it being crowded around the Rivers of America close to showtime. Throughout the week, expect CIs to be in the high 60s to low 80s for Disneyland Park and in the low 70s to low 80s for DCA.

Have a great week!

I agree. I think it has to do with most passes being blocked - PoohSizedGuy  18.5 #6892 11:53PM
