I'm in Stockton too. :-) - MommaMel

I think it should be somewhere where everyone can order their own items and not have to pay a huge tip add on but thats just my opinion - yellowtonka
237.6 #1135 9:58PM
I was thinking the same thing. Also, even though its good, Dave's is also loud. It would need to be a place where we can here most everyone as apposed to just the people we're sitting next to. - GoofyMom77 108.6 #2922 10:18PM
MichelleDork had one last year at Johns Incredible Pizza in Modesto. Easy to get too off the freeway and had things for the kids to do. - yellowtonka 237.6 #1135 11:10PM
I still haven't eating there but I gotta try it hard to find good BBQ. How bout that Daves BBQ next to olive garden@m4l is it any good? - Cricket 224.1 #1305 8:24PM
Yep. Dave's is pretty good. - Mouse4life 1041.3 #82 8:38PM
Thanks @m4l. Oh yea Id be down for meet up in the 209. - Cricket 224.1 #1305 8:51PM
Eh, I can pass on roadhouse. I'd rather get a rib eye at kinders and Bbq it at home. Famous Saves is pretty good though. - GoofyMom77 108.6 #2922 9:40PM
Your name reminded me of a story I head. A little girl and her friend would pretend to be different Disney girls at preschool every day. One day she was Allyson. The teacher racked her brains trying to remember what movie "Allyson" was in. As the day was coming to an end the teacher asked the little girl what movie she was in. The little girl said "Allyson Wonderland" ;) - GoofyMom77 108.6 #2922 10:03PM
Random: I remember when 559 was 209. This migraine has me thinking non sense, sorry. - 559MickeyLover

Haha I was a kid but I remember it too. - MsSnowWhite 297.4 #621 12:43AM
I have a brilliant idea. Let's have the meet up in the early spring. We can have it at Mickey Grove Park in Lodi. We could do a scavenger hunt, play volleyball and horse shoes. There's the zoo and a tiny kiddy rides park also. - GoofyMom77
108.6 #2922 9:12AM
That sounds like a good idea. I'm in the 916 but close enough to the 209. I'd be up for this. - Jewelz 440.8 #280 9:17AM
People could bring what they wanted to eat or BBQ. There's also a puddle park there.
- GoofyMom77 108.6 #2922 9:22AM
Okay, I did some recon. I learned that one can rent a picnic shelter with a 100 capacity and a bbq pit for $125 for a weekend day or $62.50 on a weekday. It would be "ours" for 12 hours. I have no problem doing a weekday meet up. Like on a Thursday for expample. The dates I have in mind are March 15 or 29. What do you guys think? - GoofyMom77
108.6 #2922 1:54PM
Thursdays are perfect for me - it's my day off. Not sure about the majority of others though. Also, how are you thinking of splitting the cost for the picnic area? That might be tricky. - TonjaC 278.1 #741 2:30PM
If I'm going to host it, I'd pay for the site. I may set up a dontation box for those who wanted to help offset the cost to me, but I wouldn't inforce it. In fact, I'd probably use those donations to buy "in park" RAKs. Plan "b" would be to find a co-host and go halves-ies - GoofyMom77 108.6 #2922 3:19PM
The weekend dates I was looking at were St. Patricks day March 17 or March 31. They are both Saturdays - GoofyMom77 108.6 #2922 3:21PM
I'm thinking the weekend would probably be best for most but I would take a vote and see what everyone says. - yellowtonka 237.6 #1135 4:52PM
Sounds great! Either of the Thursday dates would work for me. Can I help in any way? - TonjaC 278.1 #741 5:49PM
do you have to provide insurance or no?
- yellowtonka 237.6 #1135 6:14PM
209 up in the Merced area? How cool :) I have family there, but unfortunately don't live up there! - DisneyDreaming

No, I'm further north and a bit to the west in Tracy. - GoofyMom77 108.6 #2922 3:03PM
I am also a bit west of Tracy. But I'm in the 925 - Mouse4life 1041.3 #82 3:05PM

Then its setlled. Texas Roadhouse in Tracy at 7 o'clock. I will be holding a white carnation. - Mouse4life
1041.3 #82 6:38PM
Wouldn't a carnation of a vibrant color standout more? - MagicalCaprice 480.6 #247 7:11PM
I'm from the 209, but currently live in SoCal. I went to HS in Tracy & my fam lives in Oakdale now. Have a great time @ the meet up! :) - belle421

Hmm I think we should plan a meetup.!! - yellowtonka
237.6 #1135 9:43PM
There's a new restaurant opening soon called Squeeze Inn. Supposedly its gonna be the "best burgers in town" and its been on diners dives and (something else) on food network. Its in the same area as Famous Dave's. Or would we rather have Roadhouse or Dave's? - GoofyMom77
108.6 #2922 9:46PM
is that coming to Tracy? or what town...its from sacramento - yellowtonka 237.6 #1135 9:52PM
I'm currently living in Concord, but have family in both Modesto & Oakdale. We visit all the time, so depending on when I would love to go to a 209 meet up. - VikkiMouse
182.2 #1833 10:13PM
You know, the meet doesn't HAVE to be in Tracy. If anyone knows a place ideal for us please throw in your two cents. - GoofyMom77
108.6 #2922 10:26PM
How about in Manteca or Modesto - mralexv 306.5 #576 10:29PM
So how about Johns Incredible Pizza in Modesto? - yellowtonka
237.6 #1135 11:12PM
I've been to the one in Stockton and Modesto. They have neat rooms for parties and fun for kids, but the food isn't incredible. In fact its quite the opposite. - GoofyMom77 108.6 #2922 12:26AM
Stocktons closed down - Cricket 224.1 #1305 12:52AM
I'm close to the 209 I'm the last 916 city before the 209 starts (elk grove) - lisaw
96.3 #3073 9:17AM
I'm not in the 209 area though I went to Michelledork's meet up at Johns Incredible Pizza in Modesto and it was a great place - cyndaws
252.8 #983 9:24AM
yes I thought Michelle's meetup was great...I had salad..and a few breadsticks..but a park could work too...depends on how far people want to drive as to whether or not they want to go. Find out the parking fees/entrance fees and then of course there is the zoo there too if the kiddos want to go see the monkeys..lol - yellowtonka 237.6 #1135 9:38AM
The zoo is only a couple dollars. The most I have ever seen for parking there is $5, its usually less than that though. - GoofyMom77 108.6 #2922 9:58AM
I just looked it up and yes it is $5 for parking and $4 for adults and $2 for children for the zoo. There is also a nice park in Ripon no zoo or amusement/water area but no parking fee either...Stouffer Park. Pot luck would be good...dont remember the rules for Micke Grove as far as bring in bbqs. But the way this silly weather is going we may just have winter in the spring ..lol - yellowtonka 237.6 #1135 10:03AM
I'll give parks and recs a call later. I go I got married in their Japanese Gardens almost four years ago. I remember one can reserve the large picnic sites or it's first come first serve. I was thinking Mickey Grove cause it offered a lot to do and some great scavenger hunt ideas. - GoofyMom77 108.6 #2922 10:14AM
Also, spring time is far enough out that people can plan and come up with more ideas. - GoofyMom77 108.6 #2922 10:17AM
I'm in! Just let me know when and where! From Modesto. - TonjaC
278.1 #741 10:14AM
I miss being in Stockton!!! Any alumni from Franklin High? - PrincessTianaCM
213.1 #1440 12:11PM
my cousin went to Franklin..but I think we are a bit older than you. - yellowtonka 237.6 #1135 12:56PM
Perhaps I'm class of 2007 but I know huge amounts of people from Franklin. My dad works there. - PrincessTianaCM 213.1 #1440 1:05PM
We graduated in 1988...she lives in Colorado now and her oldest daughter is about your age I think. - yellowtonka 237.6 #1135 1:43PM
I like the weekday idea. I work on the weekends. Plus mickeys grove zoo is a really nice place. - momma
126.9 #2613 4:48PM
Okay, it sounds like it's a 50/50 for weekend vs weekday. I'd need to get a rough head count. If there will be only 50 of us, the price of the picnic shelter drops in half because we won't need the bigger one ($25 for weekday/$50 for weekend). If/when things get more finalized, I'll start a new thread with the exact date/time/shenaniganze - GoofyMom77
108.6 #2922 3:10PM
Maybe make a yahoo/google email account for all to contact you that way. I wont know for sure since I'm working on finding a job :/ - yellowtonka 237.6 #1135 3:16PM
The email is a great idea. I also have the text option here on MW as another means of contact. So, for all interested persons: I need to know which you would prefer Thursday or Saturday for a 209 meet up. Note: YOU DON'T HAVE TO LIVE IN THE 209 TO COME, EVERYONE IS INVITED. - GoofyMom77 108.6 #2922 3:23PM
I did a count. So far there are less than 10 people that can and want a meet up. That's fine and dandy, but I'm not gonna pay for a picnic shelter for so few people. So, if these numbers stay constant, I'll get there a bit early and stake a claim on a picnic table. - GoofyMom77
108.6 #2922 10:37PM
Anyone else for a March 209 meet up? - GoofyMom77
108.6 #2922 6:14PM
I'm up for it, just need a date and weekends are easier for me. if its in Stockton I'd be willing to help set up too. - mochamistie 272.8 #799 6:56PM
Depending the date, I might be able to make the drive from Fresno :-) - Armenda 991.8 #89 7:01PM
I'm up for it! Saturday would be best but I will figure away out of work if it's on a week day! - MommyluvsCars 5.8 #9273 9:36PM
I'm up for Saturday. I start work at 3 in Livermore so if we started earlier in the day that would be fabulous. :) - RetroMinnie
