I was born with a cleft lip and palate so ever since I was a baby I had to go through several surgeries. I was always self-conscious about my face. Then I met John. He always tried to make me feel comfortable in my own skin. When I had breakdowns over my appearance, he kissed my scars and told me he loved them. And when I had to have my final surgery when I was 17, he stayed at the hospital with me the entire time. To this day, he has never made me feel less than beautiful. - Marieeezy

Met the hubby during summer after my freshmen year in college, I had actually made the decision to stay home and help take care of my grandma. We started dating, had a lot of fun, he made me feel beautiful (I've always had weight issues). We were together about 6 months when my grandmother passed away and he was there for me & my family every step of the way. Helped with the funeral arrangements, picked up my sister from school whenever he could to let my mom rest. At her funeral he held my hand the entire time and had his arm around my mom. Then, he cried... Almost as if he'd known my grandma for years. The care he showed for my family during that time made me fall in love with him. β€ - LBChica

When I first spotted him across the high school field when we were 13. ;-). Well that was when I first noticed him. We were friends a few years before we started dating. During high school my family came across tough times. He bought me and my siblings jackets, school pictures, etc. At 16!! He is the most caring man. We married after college and had DisneyGirl19 7.5 years later. Then a decade later we had the Lil One. I count my blessings every day. - PrincessDuckie

my story isn't as "traditional" as the others, but it is a sign of the times I suppose. I made a profile on an online dating site more out of a dare than any other reason. I got a message from this guy, who in his picture has these really caring eyes. We emailed and spoke on the phone for about a week before actually meeting. Our first date was POTC 1.
