Does anyone know if the Disneyland artists will draw a character of your choice? I want to get some classic characters which are hard to find.
They don't "trace" it. Me being an artist I can tell you that they do that just for the general shape and proportion. After doing a rough sketch they add all the details like the eyes, hair, dress, etc. and they add their own artists spin. Disney characters are very hard to draw perfectly and perfection is a big deal to the company so having to partially "trace" to get a rough idea isn't as big as a deal as you think it is. Afterall you wouldn't want your picture of Belle from beauty and the Beast to look like some stupid creature from the world of lilo and stitch - SarahInWonderland

I talked to a cast member on Thursday and she said that they have a bunch of new sketches designed for the artists, but have to wait for Florida to catch up on theirs. One of the new sketches is Oswald though! Approve it Disney!!! - xsdesign
