It's really sad how so many people are assuming the worst out of you over a simple question. I hope you and your daughter and family have an awesome 3 day Disney vacation!! - Jaytasmic 373.3 #368 7:09PM
Thanks Jaytasmic! She is sooooo excited! Every time we see a Disneyland commercial she lights up and asks when her birthday is! - Ty311USVI 15.8 #5553 7:15PM
Whoa now, no dishonesty here. We are taking her for her 3rd birthday and will be doing the 3 day hopper. Just a question people! - Ty311USVI

I wouldn't worry about it. My daughter is 2 and she looks like she's 4! They never say anything. I think if you go on her 3rd bday it's not a big deal... But that's just me. I'd try to go like 2 days before and the day of :) - RickeyCalifornia 157.0 #2192 7:01PM
Judgement call. Although if your child is bigger than the stroller you're attempting to fit them I'd say that's a red flag! My observation from others... - EpicDio

It's general theme park policy to not argue with guests over the age of their child. But if your child is CLEARLY over the age of 3 then someone will say something. Just be honest and buy a ticket then they turn 3. - Nyghtngale

My BFF had to carry her sons birth certificate because her son was/is huge and no one believed he was as young as he was but he's 17 now so she don't do that anymore - lisaw

But I'm sure there are times when a child is just big for their age, so I'm curious how the CMs handle that. Asking the the child maybe? You know every kid is proud of how old they are. ;) And of course, I'm sure there are TONS of people that lie. - Melliott

A CM stopped my parents once to question about my sisters age ( in the 80s) she was under age yet the CM asked her how old she was and she wouldn't answer ( she was a late talker) so he said oh she must be not telling me because she's 3, go buy a ticket for her please. Needless to say my parents talked to a supervisor. - wonderlandgirl 325.6 #499 6:59PM
We shine a bright hot spotlight on them and ask how old did your parents say to tell us. It's the honor system. Under 3 is free. - splashphotoCM

My son is about to turn 3 and I am ready to get him his AP. Even if he may still be able to pass as a 2yr old, it is just not right. It's better to be honest. - thestalkerNIN

I was under the impression they chose an age based on average heights, 3 being about the time a kid can start riding some rides with a height requirement if they're average. It's a bummer to buy a kid a ticket when the day before you didn't need one and they can't experience anything more than they could have yesterday... Call me a liar but I wouldn't worry about buying her ticket unless asked. If Disneyland was so concerned about the barely 3 bunch they would enforce it strictly. - cynDOLEwhip

This question came up when a few times people in front of us have their obviously too old kid jump in the stroller and try to get in free!! This has happened twice where the CM has told them they need a ticket. Of course the parents respond by saying their kids birthday is next week. The CM made them get a ticket. Which brings us to where we asked because our two year old daughter looks a lot older. The CM response was its pretty obvious when they're five and not three or under!! Don't worry she'll be fine!! - Chadco
