ok mwers i need some help. my family and i are planning a trip to walt Disney world next spring. so my question is for the ones who already have Disneyland passes is it smart just to upgrade to premier passport? and does the premier passport give you discounts on food merchandise and hotels? and also is there any websites out there that give any type of discounts on hotels or tickets?
thanks in advance for any help. :)
If you already have an ap, especially premium, and will be at WDW more than a few days, then yes! I didn't need to upgrade when I went, so I'm not sure about the discounts, but from what I understand, the premier acts as a premium at both resorts. So whatever discounts they have there should apply. However, I've been told the discounts for ap's at WDW are not as good as the dl ones. Try asking in the Florida lounge, I'm sure they would have more info. 😃 - bluefairy

Imho, it depends on how many days you are going to be in Florida.. however, I think it'd be really worth upgrading to the Premier! I believe you get a discount booking at Disney Resort hotels w/an AP, but do look it up on Disney's website and call just in case. There was another MWer that just upgraded a few months ago and they ended up saving a lot of $. Hope I helped and hope you and your family have a fun, safe trip to WDW (: - Jacqueline

Seeing I'm about to do this myself, heres what I know. You get the same discount as the premium AP at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts (including the water parks) as well as included parking for all. For me it's only $200 or so more and saves me a ton of money on entrance fees, food, and souvenirs. WAY WORTH IT since I'll be there for 10 days. - shadowgamer

Yup! I did this this past year. As long as ur trip to WDW is around 5 days & u go to DL more than 3 to 4 times in a year, ur saving. $$! With the premier, u can get a discount on a resort at WDW & u do get discounts in the park but discounts out of the parks aren't as good as DL's system - DisneyFan(tasmic)

Did some looking on the WDW website and it looks like a 2-day park ticket is $176 and a 3-day is $313.. So if you already pay $500 for a premium AP for Disneyland and plan on spending more than 2 days on park tickets in Florida you are definety saving money! - SarahJoshDisney
