So, I had an idea, and I want to know if anyone is interested in doing this. I used to work at a gym that did something called the Ironman Challenge. Basically, over the course of 6 weeks, participants would complete a full Ironman Triathalon (2.4 mile swim; 112 mile bike ride; and 26.2 mile run). I was wondering if you guys would like to do something similar, but without the biking or swimming (I know a lot of us don't have access to a swimming pool or a bike, but we all have tennis shoes!). I was thinking that, for a month, we could track our walk/jog mileage every week and post the previous week's mileage on Monday? I could call the post "Marathon Monday" or something? A marathon is 26.2 miles, so it would average to under 1 mile per day, which is totally do-able, even for most people who have always been sedentary. You could also create your own goals...if 26.2 miles a month isn't enough to challenge you, you might shoot for a marathon and a half-marathon (39.3 miles) or two marathons (52.4 miles). Or if you're ordinarily a walker, maybe you could shoot for running 26.2 miles this month? I don't know, these are just ideas...let me know what you guys think, and I truly apologize for this big wall of text!
I would totally be interested in that. And it sounds doable, which is always a plus in my book! -

Great! I'll get a formal post going, and we can start tracking mileage :). Yay! This'll be fun! -
