I'm having a moral dilemma. I found someone selling 25 pins for $20. They claim they have 12,000 pins, and each pin is unique. They say they all have the Disney copyright and are not knockoffs. That's only $0.70 per pin, and seems way too good to be true! I'm just getting into pins, and this seems like a good way to get some to trade with cast members for ones that I think are neat. I saw a Rolf one the other day I would've loved to have.
Do you think buying these pins for the purpose of trading is wrong? Could they really be legit Disney pins?
When I first wanted to start trading I bought a 'lot' of 25 pins for $25. When I received them I did some research and realized all but 3 were fake...so I returned them for a refund. So I say, don't waste your time and money...just purchase them in the park. - JenInWonderland

We buy the ones in the park. They have packs of 8 pins. That way we know for sure. - SueBayou

Lol. We're the only ones! That's our favorite place to trade! You guys are always so nice! Say MW next time. I always wear my button. - SueBayou 2012.0 #34 11:36PM
Come trade with us some more! We love trading, we always trade amongst each other also! - CxD_CM 518.6 #224 11:38PM
If its slow, we have contests of who can trade a certain pin first, or trade amongst ourselves. - BaseballMickey_CM 2851.3 #15 11:43PM
Ya. One of the guys begged us to take HSM pin,(Jordan?) so we did and traded it a TSMM. Lol. It's also where we met BooEve the first time. We were trading and she came up and we both screamed. Scared you poor CMs to death. Lol - SueBayou 2012.0 #34 12:00AM
Were they selling the pins in the park?? That is a no, no. I would not feel good about purchasing them. Like Sue said, you can buy the starter packs and trade and not feel guilty that any bad pins you possibly trade would ruin someone's Disney magic. - ChimChimCher-ee

They're online through ebay. I think I'll wait until I have a bit more of a flexible budget to start pin trading I guess. Thanks for the input! - Chris_E 25.6 #4610 11:33PM
If it sounds too good to be true... - proudcanuck

Your solution is a store in Anaheim(I believe) called My D-Pins. There is more to the name but I don't remember and that part should be enough. $2 trader pins and the owner is an amazing guy that is dedicated to true collecting of all kinds. He really cares about us as traders and deserves all of the business that we can give him!

That's true! Good guy! But there's so many, someone just starting might end up keeping everything they buy. Lol - SueBayou 2012.0 #34 1:35AM
