so tonight we went to phils bbq in san diego. if you know phils bbq you know it can get crazy busy. the line was around the corner and down the sidewalk. as we got to the corner there was a sign saying "approximate wait time from this point: 21 minutes 14 seconds." at first I felt like I was in a line at disneyland. then I thought wow. they even know the seconds! lol

Its delish! Took spencer a whole rack of beef ribs to his work cuz he couldn't go. I got an el torro which was thinly sliced prime rib with their bbq sauce on a roll. It can feed two. The small size onion rings can feed 4. - ImAlwaysCrazy

Love this place, a quick tip if you don't wanna wait in line, you can sit in the bar area, or getting it to go it's a great alternative to the huge line, I do it all the time; although it's definitely worth the wait :) - CarmenINwonderlanD

Totally!! I had to order something for spencer before we left and the greeter/crowd control lady let me just go aheadof everyone! Would have hated to wait in the 12 people to go line after we waited 1 hour earlier to order and sit. So it was a nice thing she let me :) - ImAlwaysCrazy 646.4 #166 3:12AM

Personally love Phils but I have taken some people and they don't care for it. I recommend sauce on the side just in case. I stick to the smaller items the broham which is a pulled pork sandwich or el torro which is the tri-tip sanwhich. Onion rings are to die for and huge and they have the best baked beans ever. I always check their webcam to scope out the line before I go. If its pt.loma and the line is crazy long I suggest a to go order however the line in san Marcos Is usualy not at bad.
