Gotta love working at a children's hospital. I have to sit with this kid all day and make sure he doesn't pull out his IV. I am getting paid to sit and watch movies. Just finished Santa clause. Now watching Santa clause 2, then lion king!!!
Dangerously close to a HIPAA violation :-) - KissDclown

doesn't have to be personal information. It can be any information that can connect someone to putting it together. What if this child's parents are on MW and recognize the situation? I was just looking out so she does not lose her certification. - KissDclown 1088.1 #77 9:43PM
I hope s/he is well enough as soon as possible so s/he can go home. - PrincessDuckie

He's doing great. He's here for burn care. So we're just hangin out watching movies : ) - shelley-in-wonderland 18.0 #5276 5:53PM
LOL, I was thinking the same thing. I would much rather sit and make sure someone doesn't pull out an IV. Then a bunch of lazybums that act like they can't speak English. - Lelundrial 341.0 #427 6:47PM
Funny you say that cuz the majority I people at my hospital are Spanish speaking only from Mexico! I've learned quite a bit of Spanish working here - shelley-in-wonderland 18.0 #5276 7:13PM
According to H3D, you should watch Nightmare Before Christmas next. - MimiMouse

How in the worrrrld is that a HIPPA violation. I didn't say the name age diagnosis location. All I said is I'm watching a boy and making sure he doesn't pull out his IV and that he's here for wound care. Jeez people - shelley-in-wonderland

I said dangerously close. You're getting close to saying where you work. Just leave it as pt sitting....(psssst I'm an RN) - KissDclown 1088.1 #77 9:25PM
Trust me I've been trough about 5 million HIPPA inservices. . . Wasn't planning on saying anymore than I already said but good lookin out - shelley-in-wonderland 18.0 #5276 9:27PM
Always gotta be careful with that! Dont want to lose your license or certificate 😳. And don't forget there's thousands of people on this app 😉 - mozbaby 132.2 #2559 9:32PM
You're not anywhere close to being in violation of HIPPA. What you're doing is great! - firemomof2 128.4 #2600 9:43PM
I am reminded of this HIPPA story...about two months ago I was sick with that cough/chest thing that was going around. Couldn't get into my doctor so I called my friend's office (he is my daughter's sports dr.) to see if he had an opening and he did and he treated me. A few days later I was talking to his wife, also a dr. and my friend, and I was telling her I was glad her husband was able to get me in because I felt so much better. She looked at me and said she had no idea what I was talking about. I asked her "didn't your hubby tell you he treated me the other day?" and she said "NO! that would be a violation of HIPPA!" I was shocked because they are both our good friends and I didn't think it was a big deal at all, but I am glad that they are ethical. - PrincessDuckie 587.5 #187 9:57PM
Ok ok enough back and forth! Good for you helping your pt! - cjpcrew
