Morning!
Does anyone know if you can make monthly payments on a Premier Pass?
Happy Birthday Walt!
If you are considering WDW the premier pass can be a very good deal. This is what I did. We renewed our premium pass last Dec and made payments. By summertime we knew we wanted to go to WDW. We upgraded then to premier. Sep has a free dining offer at WDW. We booked that and with the pkg got a 10 day pass. We used our APs for admission. At the end of trip we converted our park tix from room key to a hard tix. So we went to WDW. Had free dining (worth over 1000). And now have about $1000 worth of tix we can use next year or put it toward our next APs. Hope this makes sense and helps. - jacdanfan

I wish I could do that. Go in September but I work at a school. But thanks for the tip! I'm sure others will find this useful. - MellyChelly 256.7 #935 6:42AM
Ek!!! Not She, He means. Sorry Jac! - MellyChelly 256.7 #935 2:26PM
Don't think so, but not sure. What you can do is buy a premium pass and set up payment plan and then convert it to premier and pay the difference. To be safe, go directly to Disney for information. - jacdanfan

Oh! I forgot mention you need to upgrade at DLR before traveling to WDW because they have a different ticketing system! Yes, you do have to pay the $249-269 upgrade but you don't have to pay off your premium pass if you're on the payment plan. You just continue making your regular payments. The premier pass cost $749. ek! but it's worth it- A six-day pass at wdw would be $369. - MellyChelly

Thanks for the info. I already have a premium pass but I'm thinking about a trip to wdw. I know it's a good deal to up to a premier. But I just want to save in trip cost. I'll call ticketing and reservations. - MellyChelly

Ok from what I found out from DLR- I would just have to pay the upgrade to premier depending on the value of my pass but still make payments on my premium pass. Premier pass does not offer monthly payments but this a good alternative like jacdanfan said. - MellyChelly

So how much more is it then for the premier? Were thinking bout wdw too and if we could make monthly payments this way that would help.and is it cheaper to do this then say book it thru AAA packages? - lisamb83

If you already have premium and will be there more than a couple days and want to park-hop, then definitely. I think it's about $750 now. Only $250 more for unlimited WDW visits for a year? Sounds like a good deal. 😉 - bluefairy 627.0 #174 3:28PM
I believe you have to pay the difference in full at time of upgrade. - bluefairy

We're going to do it in the spring, too. The last time we went to WDW it worked out in that we were able to go twice in that 12 month period and really got our monies worth - 415beachgirl

I am not too sure about what Jac said. What I have known about WDW is that you have to buy the package to get free dining, which means tickets too. Off season, which is usually August, runs cheaper and you can find deals for $600 per person 6 night/7 days tickets, hotel, and meals....usually works best for family of four in a moderate room. - TinkerAli
