Confession: I'm doing horribly with my eating and I am barely working out. And I'm feeling it. Anyone else in the same boat? What are your tips for staying on-track during the holidays? I need some motivation, lol! ***Update*** Thank you guys for the feedback and support! Because of your motivation, I got back on track last week, and this morning, I finally got the courage to get on the scale and found that I've LOST four pounds, lol. I'm officially the lightest I've been in the last two years. I can't explain it, and I won't question it, but I'll take it!

Hi sos! My motivation is Holiday outfit shopping lol :) Also, I always try to look and feel my best on NYE, so I can continue that pattern for the next year :) - Madi  204.1 #1575 9:35PM
I was the same way last couple weeks. With thanksgiving and my birthday back to back I ate WAY to much. I gained 4 pounds. But I've got back on track because I know that's what I need to do and not to sound corny but I willed myself to get back on track. My kids and family for me is what I have to think about. Of course my situation is different than yours; but do it for yourself and you'll feel great!!! - Cricket  224.1 #1307 7:12AM
Cricket, you're right. I don't have the issues you have, but I have always struggled with asthma and bronchitis, so I definitely relate to what you're saying. Working out year round, even for a little bit, helps prevent a lot of the wintertime respiratory problems. Thank you for the reminder. - Spoonful_O_Sugar  436.3 #285 10:09AM
Thanks you guys!  My issue is time.  November/December are really crazy at my work: I basically have work to do 7 days a week, and a lot of the time I work for for 12-14 hours per day.  A lot of it is from home, but sometimes that makes it harder.  I need to be disciplined and get at least a half hour in a few days a week, then I can pick up the pace in January.  - Spoonful_O_Sugar  436.3 #285 10:08AM
Alright...thanks you guys: your motivation means a lot to me!  I stayed within my calorie range and got 4.5 miles on the elliptical in.  Day 1: Success!  - Spoonful_O_Sugar  436.3 #285 8:39PM
I'm having a difficult time staying on plan. I need to focus and stay on plan. I easily give up when I don't see the results I think I ought to see. I'm re-focusing! - Mrs.mouse  420.8 #307 9:38PM
I've been commenting that I'm having a rough time too - for a lot of different and the same reasons!  I need to channel Stella and get my groove back!  I feel so much better when I'm following a diet and exercise plan.  What are we going to do SoS!?!  I'll start back on if you do?  Can someone please send me a cyber slap to the head! - msdizmaui  519.0 #223 12:25AM
You've got yourself a deal! I've been on plan for the last two days and I feel much better. You can do it! Go to the grocery store today and buy all of your regular healthy foods. Make a lunch tomorrow morning, and get on your elliptical after work. We can do this :) - Spoonful_O_Sugar  436.3 #285 6:54AM
I've been eating my stress away lately - but I just typed out a GIANT rant about how I feel about myself, my stress, and how eating is actually only a temporary relief because I get stressed when I gain weight. It felt good to just let it all out - I posted it on my private blog that only I have access too. Then I started keeping a food diary to keep track of what I've been eating, how much I've been exercising, what my temptations have been, how I resisted them, etc. and how I've been feeling each day. IT really helps! :) - Jenniferr  428.0 #295 5:51PM
I'm in the same boat. I have gain about 15 lbs in 3 months. Stress and break up and trying to work out things out. Taking these new meds that make me wanna eat all the time. Not working out. Grr.. I need to kick my own butt. - miss_rachel  118.9 #2754 8:45PM
Hugs Rachel! I'm sorry your having a rough time. Keep your head up, things will get better. - Mrs.mouse  420.8 #307 9:04PM
Aw, I'm sorry you're having a tough time. So you're trying to work things out with him? That's good :). Don't kick your own butt, lol. You've been through enough--go gentle on yourself. Maybe try to take a yoga or pilates class? Or treat yourself to a spa day. You totally deserve to be pampered :) - Spoonful_O_Sugar  436.3 #285 5:55AM
