This sign is so dear to my heart. I remember as a child Sitting in the car as we drove on Harbor Blvd, peeking over my dads shoulder as he drove to catch a glimpse of the sign. The anticipation was so bad as a kid cause I knew once I saw the sign I was there and that is where my magical day would begin. I remember bouncing up and down in my seat each time I saw the sign. I think that's why every time I drive on the 55 freeway I would look in the distance to see if I could spot the top of the Matterhorn. Just knowing it was there brought a smile to my face. Thank you for the nostalgic moment. That made my day! - Aurora_2020

We stayed at the old "Grand Hotel" and crossed the street right there! We loved the old Grand, especially their coffee shop and our go to meal (hot turkey sandwitch) after a long day at Disneyland! - SingingPansy

We lived in the San Fernando Valley. We would be driving for an hour or so and then saw the bill board sighs with Disneyland on them and new we were close. Then we watched for the TWA rocket which was the tallest Disneyland object you could see from the freeway. - splashphotoCM
