Hey everyone. I found a place that has discounted tickets. Does anyone have any experience with Natalie from toysun.net? 2 day park hopper for 130. Compared to 173 at Disneyland.com. Of course, I'm concerned about this being legitimate. Looks like you pay in person at their office, pick up the ticket(s), and when you're done, return them.

I would rather put the money to Disney to keep the rides safe. Also to expand on the parks. Keep jobs for CMs. - Chumash28  1207.7 #143 2:15AM

Return them? Just pay the Disney price, enjoy and have piece of mind. Budget yourself on other things. Be safe. - Romec123aKaSmartyPants  751.8 #251 1:02AM
Well, indeed the community has spoken! :-) I am NOT going to buy my tickets this way. I am going to buy them regularly through Disneyland.com. Everyone's right. The magic that this park offers is worth every penny. I'll stick to buying the tickets regularly. - jaguartamer  4.3 #22179 10:03AM
Good for you!! If we didn't have such a love for Disney, we wouldn't care. Just looking out for a MW fam member :) have a fantastic time when you go! - misschurro  6362.2 #17 10:06AM

Y would you have to return them?? - HanLostLeia  1098.3 #165 1:01AM
I use to have a homebased travel agency and clients would balk at me charging a fee for my services. They wanted stuff cheap. Yet they would spend silly on the trip. Sometimes cheaper isn't better. Ex. A woman told me she got a hotel in China that was cheaper than what I was booking her. I said ok, have fun bye! She returned and told me she left her room all of 5 times in 6 days. Her hotel was in a red light district!! - Romec123aKaSmartyPants  751.8 #251 1:07AM
You are basically renting the tickets. It is against Disneyland policy to transfer tickets, so if you are caught the tickets will be confiscated and you will be out of your money. Go the right way and purchase at Disneyland to avoid problems. - Katrayher  781.0 #239 2:06AM
That's not what you said and not what he was referring. - splashphotoCM  885.6 #206 1:44PM
My whole thing is if you can't pay Disney prices you have no business being at DL... Shame on you for taking the easy route... Save your money and do the honest thing - Alex  307.3 #873 3:56AM
No reason to shame someone, who is is new, who possibly hasn't had experience with these kinds of things, for trying to save some money! - DarthSparrow  74.9 #4043 7:07AM

I wouldn't trust it. Disneyland--you bring the money they bring the magic. - WeMetAtDisneyLand  41.9 #5128 7:39AM
What these guys do is buy a bunch of the 5 day park hopper tickets and then 'rent' them out to people. Usually to groups. They make a profit, while the people who 'rent' the tickets. The reason for the return is because there are (in some cases) still days available on the park hopper ticket. They get that ticket back (usually that exchange happens inside the park), then 'rents' out that same ticket to someone new. So if a guy buys a 5 day park hopper ticket, then 'rents' the ticket (cheaper than actual price of a one day park hopper ticket) five times to five different people, and they make a profit. I watched this go down once. I simply wouldn't do it. - RadioMaverick  1175.2 #149 7:55AM
I think this is why the ticket office writes your name on the tickets now. When I bought tickets in June they wanted the names of all my guests. - vegasbrat  420.4 #530 8:01AM
Ooh! That is sketchy!! - misschurro  6362.2 #17 8:12AM
This is not safe and shouldn't be done, definitely not legit. As someone else said, tickets are non transferable. Many people have gotten tickets through someone like this and ended up being stopped by Disney, tickets confiscated, and they lost out on money. I understand ticket prices are kind of high, but we're paying for a wonderful experience and allowing that money to go towards making the parks even better. - LBChica  2437.4 #59 8:09AM
Not to mention if you got them on Day 3 and they were confiscated, you're out $$ and so is the 'company' you got them from. What does the fine print say about that? *grabs monocle* - misschurro  6362.2 #17 8:54AM

Thanks!  I find the real scam is that Disneyland is getting away with charging this high a price for their tickets.  I like Disneyland and it's great for the kids, but charging about $80 for a one-day ticket is absolutely ridiculous.

Maybe. When my boys were Lil we were VERY short on cash. I wanted to take them badly. They were allotted one souvenir (luckily they're not rhe type to buy stuff), we ate one meal in the park and a snack or two and stayed at a hotel 10-15 minutes away but we always paid what the park charged because we got what we paid for. - Romec123aKaSmartyPants  751.8 #251 10:00AM

I was there on Monday and the guy in front of my had what I think was a rented AP but there wasn't a picture taken yet - problem was it had been used plenty of times since the purchase - ultimately I over heard the CM telling him he HAD take the picture that day or else - didn't hear what the else was. I did hear the guy later on the monorail saying it wasn't his problem though. Those kind of tickets scare me because what if they don't work? - sandygirl  11.7 #10003 6:33AM

You really shouldn't do it. While one day going through the main gate a woman purchased 11 of those tickets to find out they were scammed. It was so sad to see the faces of the little ones crying because they couldn't go to Disneyland. Not to mention she most likely had to pay 15 dollars for parking for nothing. She was upset and told everyone she paid 1000 dollars for them too. Pay for a piece of mind and also to help improve the parks or for new attractions. :-) - PrincessTianaCM  221.0 #1720 8:20AM
Wasn't she the one who got scammed from a woman in Modesto. A relative of mine was going to buy tickets that way and I told her if she did I would tell the CM as we walked in. To me if you have to do that then you really can't afford the trip. People need to really take into account, what if it was YOUR business and everyone found loopholes to get stuff cheaper. You'd be out. My husband runs a business and people cry for cheaper proposals right after they say they're going on a luxurius trip. Priorities need to kick in every now and then. - Romec123aKaSmartyPants  751.8 #251 10:12AM
Ruhkel-I would say kudos to them for going to a reputable business! - Romec123aKaSmartyPants  751.8 #251 9:55AM
If Disneyland finds out you did this they will take your ticket away... They buy tickets in bulk for multiple days at a discounted price and then have people use different days on the tickets it's messed up to be honest and not worth getting caught over - Tink  111.3 #3408 9:56AM
Totally agree tink. - NeverlandTink  423.1 #523 9:58AM
my advice is, since it's against disneys policy, don't do it but I totally understand you wanna save a few $ but it's not right. - mochamistie  273.2 #1136 9:56AM
Totally agree tink. - NeverlandTink  423.1 #523 9:58AM
Let's go to Tlaquepaque - misschurro  6362.2 #17 10:02AM
I'm surprised Disney hasn't shut these places DOWN! - misschurro  6362.2 #17 10:02AM
Friend of mine who's a supervisor told me theyre working on the whole park hopper exchange dealio. VERY soon they won't be able to do that anymore. - Romec123aKaSmartyPants  751.8 #251 10:14AM
Oh that is good. Too scam, these people. I feel better about NOT having my pic on my AP. the pic is pretty bad. Traveling all day, it was windy. No amount of lip gloss coulda fixed it. Yeah, I could get a new pic, but it's not like I'm submitting it to Barbizon Modeling Agency - misschurro  6362.2 #17 10:26AM
OMG! U need to come to Xmas in the park So I can buy you some fresh churros! - Romec123aKaSmartyPants  751.8 #251 1:54PM
I like. - BCC  4783.2 #27 10:05AM
Right! It's not like we live miles and miles apart. - Romec123aKaSmartyPants  751.8 #251 10:05AM
Good for you!! If we didn't have such a love for Disney, we wouldn't care. Just looking out for a MW fam member :) have a fantastic time when you go! - misschurro  6362.2 #17 10:06AM

Have you been there? I was hit on by mariachis when I was younger. Ahhh good times good times! ROFL - Romec123aKaSmartyPants  751.8 #251 10:08AM
I got a question... What would happen if you didn't return them? - vikkimus  199.2 #43 10:08AM
First off I'm all for getting discounts ect.. The one thing I'm not for are these people that " rent" out passes.. That's what I'm talking about.. - Alex  307.3 #873 10:09AM
Oh wait are you talking about the restaurant or the actual city? LOL - Romec123aKaSmartyPants  751.8 #251 10:09AM
And here's the other problem you may run into. The ticket you are buying/renting clearly says non transferable on it. You already know something is fishy/dishonest by having to return them to this place. Now I'm not saying this couldn't happen, but from a legal stand point you could be arrested for conspiracy to defraud. I know that sounds harsh but believe me from an law enforcement standpoint it happens all the time. Disney will eventually take action and has on these businesses. Several have already closed shop or their #'s are disconnected. - splashphotoCM  885.6 #206 10:10AM
So, buyer beware. - splashphotoCM  885.6 #206 10:12AM
*sets a platter of churros out to celebrate!!* - misschurro  6362.2 #17 10:10AM
I still wanna know what they would do if you didnt return the ticket... - vikkimus  199.2 #43 10:10AM

Put a lien on your house? First baby? Idk. What CAN they do?? It's unethical. Let's call and see, - misschurro  6362.2 #17 10:12AM
Exactly what RadioMav said. I have an AP, but actually went through a site just like this for some relatives of mine. The prices are enticing, but the tickets are considered Disney property so if caught, they can take them away. Another bad thing about it, the offices don't usually open until 8 and you spend an hour or more waiting to get the tickets. - Minnieday  301.6 #902 10:13AM
Friend of mine who's a supervisor told me theyre working on the whole park hopper exchange dealio. VERY soon they won't be able to do that anymore. - Romec123aKaSmartyPants  751.8 #251 10:14AM
It sounds sketchy . My thoughts are if you save $ by doing something that may feel shady to you , your sure to loss it somewhere else. I live by the karma rule. Although I wish DL were less exspencive, I'm grateful for the standards that are kept and will pay for that magic when I'm able . - My_HappyPlace  65.6 #4279 10:14AM
Yesterday this guy asked me if I was there the next three days cause he had tickets left from his trip and I said no only for the day so he went on asking ppl he wasn't asking for money he was giving it away and hetold the CM I'll go on the other side and the CM told him this is kind of you for doing this.. So the CM thought it was alright for him to transfer it.. - HOTDOGsMOMMY  66.5 #4254 10:17AM

Oh I'm not saying to buy rent ones.. I would too spend all my money on a Disney ticket then these.. Just saying it was okay for that guy to do it maybe cause he was giving them out and not selling them..?? - HOTDOGsMOMMY  66.5 #4254 10:18AM

On our last trip to DLR in July 2011. My dad wanted to save money for food in the park so he decided to get the rented tickets which I totally disagree. And once we got to the parks, it was confiscated all 6 tickets! I felt like my dad just got slapped in the face. It was pretty embarrassing. So he got his money back and bought the real tickets. We did got away last time in 2010. He got cheaper tickets for 3 days and it worked. But still didn't agree - steph122  89.4 #3758 10:30AM
