Since Lil Blue's shoulder is broken he is off school for the next for weeks! This is week one and he is bored out of his gourd! Any ideas to keep a one armed kid busy? He can't use his right arm at all and is right handed. So coloring is a bust, and he is already bored with the TV. Idk what to do with him.
Lots of "wax off "? LOL seriously though mandigutterrose has it right. - Boundin

Poor Kid! Have you thought of models or even rockets. Take him to your local craft store there should be loads of them. I know when my husby dislocated his shoulder this is how I kept him from driving me nutty. - MissyluvsDisneyland

How about cards? Teach him to play poker...my 12 year old learned after his brain injury in June. Of course it only takes one arm to clean the toilet, or he could address Christmas cards ;) Hope you are getting a break too...4 weeks of care-giving to a preteen will no doubt have some rough moments! - Darlingwendi

Took his bike off a jump and didn't land it. - Mrsblue 692.4 #145 12:35AM
That stinks! My 4 year old broke his arm this summer. He fell off the thing that you hang from and slide down (kinda like a zip line) at a park. It was his right arm as well and he was right handed.
What about making his own board game? Coming up with the rules making the pieces ect. - disneyfamily06 118.8 #2751 12:40AM
Board games, puzzles, practice writing with the opposite hand then the feet then the mouth, and helping with cooking or baking. - mandigutterrose

Did anyone mention puzzles? You have a few tough weeks ahead of you. Good Luck. I have one son that needs to be doing something constantly and the other son is able to chill. My boys love designing new Lego people by printing out or drawing new outfits on blank Sheets of Avery labels. They google templates already made or make new ones in MSWord. Than they print them on shipping labels and than stick them on their Lego people. They make their own super heros and stuff. Keeps them entertained for quite awhile. - jjdq

Sorry for the lil guy. All of thesr sound like great ideas. How about easy hands-on science experiments at home, like pouring baking soda into some vinegar, mixing corn starch and water to make oobleck, etc. I'm sure you can find lots of these online. - luvMickey
