Most of the money is made in merchandise, ODV and other services inside Disneyland. Disneyland has over 20,000 CMs. Consider all of them working 8 hour shifts at 9.05 an hour. (That's not true. some CMs make 11.05, 20,40 an hour, but let's use the base line.) That's $181,000 an hour on labor alone for ONE HOUR. Multiply that by 8, that's 1,448,000 for eight hours. Wowsers. Then you have cast members that get a small raise if they work past 7, then 11. That's a lot of labor... even at baseline. Holidays, full time CMs receive double and casual regulars receive 1.5 times as much. -
