Please add me. In a nutshell, I love Ariel because she is why I love Disney. I'll never forget watching the little mermaid, (my first disney memory) as a child and thinking "oh we can both be happy if we just trade places!". I wanted so badly to live in the sea, I would still love to be a mermaid lol. She filled my childhood with a cornucopia of wonderful memories, such as swimming for hours pretending to outrun sharks and ursula, combing my hair with a fork and getting a pet fish to name flounder... And as corny as it sounds to me now that I'm a grown woman, she really inspired me as a child- she was so brave and sung so beautifully. i've been singing in choirs and in front of crowds for as long as I can remember, and she's to blame! Haha, my very first trip ever to Disneyland was at age 18 and the very first thing I did? Got a photo with her that still hangs on my wall today! I often wonder if I would have felt the magic in Disney the way I do now without her. I no longer look for seaweed to put in my hair to "authentically recreate" the beach scene in the film, but I still hum part of your world to myself while sitting by the ocean. It all started with a mouse for Walt, but for me it all started with a doe eyed mermaid... And that is why love her. - ccmouser
