I picked up a four AA battery holder and a USB connector @ radio shack hooked the red and black wires together installed the connector and battery pack in the altoids tin. used a dremel tool to cut the hole in the tin. the key is you have to use RECHARGABLE batteries , = 4.8v. Regular batteries = 6 v too much USB voltage is 5v. Took about a half an hour to make! - connielu

rechargable batteries are 1.2v each , alkaline batteries are 1.5 each - connielu

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v476/SimplySpoiled/039a9545.jpg sorry it took so long but here is the link. I lined the inside of the tin with strapping tape , the out side wires (red & black) on the USB are the ones. to use just have to hook them up to the red and black from the battery holder. hook the two center wires together(white & green) hope the pics help! - connielu
