Tonight I had my usual view of WOC. Backside of child !
This is why I go to the wet zone. The very first time we watched WOC I got to look at the backside of some guy who was built like Lurch! Grab a poncho or even an extra towel from the hotel and all is good! - MissyluvsDisneyland

My first time this exact same ting happened except I was standing behind him so I leaned to the left to almost see. Then he brought out his phone to tape it soooo I saw it through his viewfinder!! - SueBayou 2012.0 #34 10:51AM
Hate that coz I'm short. - maxinerenton 415.1 #311 3:00PM
That shouldn't be allowed. The cast members should tell them to put their kid down. Same thing happened to me and I couldn't see anything, and had waited over an hour for the show. I understand that it's hard for the kids to see but don't spoil the show for everyone behind you! - Nesabell

They don't need to sit in shoulders. Parents can just hold them on their hip. - KissDclown 1088.1 #77 3:17PM
When my Bf puts his son on his shoulders we always stand in the back by the little mermaid ride so were not blocking anyone or we always let shorter people get in front of us so they can see too :) - Equestrian115

Yup, that's what we do too. It's really hard on a bad back to hold your child in front of you or even on the hip for an extended amount of time (of course getting them on your shoulder is difficult too). Wish my son could fit in an infant carrier again. - Polkadobo 372.1 #372 11:41AM
Kudos to you for using common sense. Are these others just obvlivious to the fact that there are people behind them? It's like when people open umbrellas at a sporting event. - Bo22 331.1 #468 11:54AM
same thing happens on main street for fireworks - brian!

I am going to play devils advocate. As the father of three small kids think of it from the kids perspective. How would you like to see a bunch of adult butts for the whole show. With that being said I always try to make sure the people behind me can still see and I am not 10 feet tall like the guy in the picture. - Bing125

Seriously! This guy had to be close to 7ft tall!!!! That was bad enough then he puts his kid on his shoulders!! Ugh. I couldn't move because we were on the benches. - SueBayou

Last time I was at WOC the same thing happened. Someone asked him to take her down because they were blocking the view. He did for a few minutes then put her back on his shoulders. - Krismiss

I get embarrassed when my husband does this but at least he only does it in the back of a section and he's 5'9. - Polkadobo

If I have a little one with us we hold them in front of us so they are no taller than we are and we don't block anyone's view. - SueBayou 2012.0 #34 11:18AM
Sorry to hear that - MarcoInTheAz

I do this for my littlest one but I'm only 5'1 so together we're like 5'6 - adriz

We had a similar road rage incident at Fantasmic a few years ago. People can really be inconsiderate at times. Can't let it wreck your time. - TharBeSquallsAhead

It was a bummer but the way I see it is better me (someone who can see it any time) and not someone that only goes once a year or once in their life. But if someone does it when I take my mommy....well, there's gonna be a throw down! Lol - SueBayou

Thank you sue for adding that, nothing worse than a little kid waiting an hour to see the show and can't see because of all the adults standing in front of them. They may never get the opportunity again! - akpoppins 243.3 #1074 4:01PM
I'm not that nice. I meant the person in my place getting blocked. That guy was in the wrong. It's a huge pet peeve of mine. I have let people in front of me that were shorter than me so they could see. - SueBayou 2012.0 #34 4:09PM
Hi everyone, new to MW.....same thing happened to us when we tried to see it in Sept. We were so excited to see it. It would have been the first time and it was my b-day. We ended up leaving so bummed because we waited so long and then got stuck behind someone with their kid on their shoulders. We don't live in the area so I'm hoping that whenever we go back we get a chance to see the show. I heard it's amazing! - DL4ME

It really is amazing! All I could see was the top half of the water so I just sat holding my hubby's hand and listening to the music and enjoying the beautiful evening and feeling the magic. - SueBayou 2012.0 #34 5:53PM
Hey I feel the kid, I'm 5'1 and no one is there to boost me up on their shoulders. Just saying, I usually hold my son at the hip, even if I could put him over my shoulders, it wouldn't be fair to anyone behind me. I actually turn around and ask if they could see ok, which they could since I'm a shrimp! - MarshaMouse
2871.9 #15 5:28PM
I'm 5'1 too! It's no fun at shows with standing room only -_- - SkellyMouse 501.3 #240 5:30PM
Another 5'1er here. (actually more like 5'3/4" but we're rounding up right? 😉) - Jillian 765.4 #129 5:34PM
I got it, do a totem ,skelly on marshas shoulders first half then switch second half, then switch again next show, whew thats alot of work but you can do it, mw cheerleader style - bobapetebot 134.7 #2528 5:38PM
Or!!! We can build a mec that can house us both :D - SkellyMouse 501.3 #240 5:40PM
Ok maybe pyramid time, jillian chimed in same time, maybe sue can be team mom, practice starts this weekend , skelly ill start on the mec, until then gimmie a M, "M"...... - bobapetebot 134.7 #2528 5:45PM
