Do any of you have spouses that really don't care for Disneyland? (I know, it's hard to believe but they do exist) My husband bought us all annual passes for my birthday and now he won't ever go with me. Drives me crazy!! I love going with my kids but would sometimes like a little help. ;) I can't imagine I'm the only one that goes through this!
My Ex BF said he just didn't understand why I was happy to go there & it wasn't fun. Eould NEVER once go with me in the 3limo years we were together. Guess that's part of why he is an EX!! LOL - DisneyBelle

My hubby enjoys the parks, thank goodness! But maybe it would be nice if we did a mom & kiddos meet up for those of you who have a better time without your husbands. - Disneymomblessedx3

I'm borderline Disney obsessive but luckily my husband is supportive. I suggest you start coming up with creative bribes. - mandigutterrose

I been married 16 years and my husband has only been a few times with us, he's a big Disney pooper and when goes he complains the whole time but I keep trying to make him enjoy Disney - lisaw

Unfortunatey my husband suffers from motion sickness on the rides, so he's not a big fan either. But I do give him bonus points for proposing at DL in front of the castle. It was amazing because it was only the 2 of us and a memory I will have forever. - gotdisneynme

I am in the same boat! We used to enjoy it together years ago. But I bought us all passes in April and he just went with me for the first time on Labor Day! Not only that but he gets annoyed that I go so much. Its hard! - HarvesterProducts
167.7 #2038 10:28PM
That stinks! It's hard because when you love and enjoy something so much you want to share it with those you care about. We were supposed to go as a family tomorrow and he changed his mind. π - Melliott 299.4 #614 10:30PM
My bf doesn't live for Disney like I do but he goes along with my crazy love for Disney without complaining too much! - KelcieGrace

It does stink! Are your kids little? I imagine that may be a bit more difficult than if they are older. Mine are 25 (married) 22, 18, and 12. Its mostly me and 2 youngest that love it. But it makes me sad. Hubby and I used to have fun date nights there. - HarvesterProducts

My mom took 5 kids by herself every year. Navy husband. So she started going with friends that had kids. I'm lucky my hubby is just as crazy about Disney as I am. It's our kids who won't go! Lol - SueBayou

My fiance doesn't like Disney as much as I do. He enjoys the parks, but is really a visit the parks once every two months kind of guy. It does suck sometimes because when I go on and on about Disney, he just stares at me blankly. lol! Oh well, I love him and wouldn't change him at all! ^_^ - Nyghtngale

I don't know why it keeps cutting me off! Lol Trying to say my kids aren't super little- they're 9 & 7. So they still wear me out, but we have fun together. :) I guess if my husband weren't so overwhelmed with business he might go more, but he'd rather spend his time doing other things. I'm the total opposite and could go 3x's a week and be happy. - Melliott

My boyfriend is the same way! when i first started going a lot he always complained and never wanted to go. occasionally after me begging, he would finally go..but complain the whole time!! thankfully it has gotten a little better but now i just go with a few of my girlfriends and leave him out of it! hahaha. hope ur husband eventually joins the party! lol having the whole family there is definitely more fun..and a lot easier :) - Princessa16

My ex husband disliked Disney and said he would never take our son. Now that my son and I always go, he felt bad and took him and my son was his tour guide. He knew all the ins and outs, popcorn carts, where to find good pizza and where to park for easier access to park. It's nice because it is something I share with my son now and that is very special to me! but then I have one, it's hard to imagine going with more on your own. If you ever need an extra person, let me know and I'll try to meet up. It helps a bit! - MarshaMouse

my BF doesn't "hate" disneyland but he definately doesn't want to go as much as me. He is afraid of it losing the magic to him and "be just another place we go to hang out and walk around like the mall" So I understand and do try to make the times he goes with us special. But he does love the spirit of what it is and has started buying the mini attraction posters to put up in the house. - Nettenutt

Yes! My partner loves Disney movies but would be ok with disneyland once a year. I am just the opposite I'm big on the land--little on the movies. It's rough on days I really want to go and she's not interested. Blah! - pridegirl

Add my hubby to the group. It's not that he does not like it because he does. His thing is he does not feel the need to go more than once a year or every other year. - mrssumr

230.6 #1234 11:06PM
My bf doesn't like Disneyland. He has taken me a couple times for special occasions (birthday and Club 33). But he doesn't get why I live it so much; he's more of a roller coaster person, and the 3 that DLR has just doesn't do enough for him. I got an AP for the first time this year and always go with my brother. We gave a lot of fun, but I wish my bf would go with me-I think DLR can be so magical and romantic with your better half in toe!β€ - EdnaModeAndGuest

Thank you for posting this I've needed to vent for a while now...my fiance has never been and doesn't really care to go either..I keep tryin to plan a trip and he always has some reason he can't go..he knows how much I love it but it seems he doesn't care. :( it makes me sad. If only I could get him there I think he would love it just as much.. I'm tryin to plan a trip in march but once again he's saying he thinks he's gonna be "to busy" is it wrong to say fine I'm gonna go alone and have a great time? And go for a week? - NeverlandTink

I didn't think I wanted passes for my birthday..my gf bought em and now I can't get enough.. It's been so awesome! And didn't know I had a bunch of friends w passes, so goin to the parks w them is a good time too. And MW is a bonus! - DisneyDoorite

I live in NorCal and can't really afford AP's, otherwise my wife and I would wear them out. I am lucky I have a spouse that feels the magic as much as I do. She doesn't like some of the more exciting rides (ToT, SM) but waits when me and the kids ride. Our next trip will be kidless, so I won't ride as many. That is okay, because I will be with her at DL. I am looking forward to meeting up with as many MWers as possible. So anyone who has a nonDL spouse, when me and the Mrs. show, you are welcome to tag along! - SorcererBHhaha

You're not the only one! My husband purchased me and my three kids Annual Passes. He would never be seen at DL. I do wish he would join us because he misses out in all the memories... - LizOβ’

DizGeek, mine is the exact same. It's not so much Disney he dislikes (though he doesn't understand my obsession in the slightest), it's more the crowds. - Melliott

My husband bought us our first annual passes about 5 years ago thinking I would get tired of going. Haha. Foolish man. He has fun but I think he could take it or leave it. He definitely wouldn't mind going less often. - LaneSparrow316
846.9 #108 3:46PM
Haha!! We let our passes expire last October thinking we would wait a couple years before getting them again, and got passes to Universal instead. It made me miss DL SO much more and we renewed in Sept. ;) But it made me appreciate a DL a million times more and it's so much more magical now! - Melliott 299.4 #614 7:29AM
My husband doesn't hate it but it wouldn't be his first choice of places to go. He doesn't like crowds so as long as we try to go during the off season he's ok with it for a couple of days. He usually enjoys it once we get there and if he's not enjoying it he doesn't let on, so at least he doesn't ruin it for me. We only go every year or two though so he tolerates it pretty well. - Hesatalkintome
