Non disney, but I have a question for you san francisco mwers. I'm goin to san francisco on december 30th, I will have the day to myself so I was wondering what are some cool things to do. Also what can I expect the weather to be like at that time of year? tia :)

weather: cold, early morning fog- possible rain but that is just a guess from years past...where in the City will you be depends on what there is to do ..will you have a car or depend on public transportation ect...Lots to do in SF! - yellowtonka

yea their is a ton to do in SF and yes it will be cold and most likely foggy. Their is Pier 39 which has a bunch of cute/random shops. Their is the famous Alcatraz. Union square if you want to shop :) ..Also their is a Walt Disney Family Musuem in the Persidio which is close by and I heard it's pretty cool. - Equestrian115

I Second the Disney Family Musuem, it is a must see...also Industrial Light and Magic is in the Presido, not to far from the museum. Walk across the Golden Gate and go to fishermans wharf to have a Boudin Clam Chowder bowl! Have fun! - Mooshu

Freezing cold, rainy and foggy. Like everyone else said, there's a ton to do but it's really based on your transportation, liking and budget. Disney Family Museum is really nice but you would have to take a taxi to get to into the area. Pier 39 + Fisherman's Warf is a great touristy place but mostly outdoors. Disney Store is located in Union Square (which will have a giant tree for the holidays) and there is a mall close by as well at the Metreon-movie/dining/shopping and gaming complex. - PartyMousterAIR

It will be cold and foggy....welcome to SF!! It depends what you want to do. The Disney Family Museum is tons of fun. I also like the Academy of Sciences too. If you want to do touristy things, Pier 39, Union square shopping. There is an AWESOME Disney store on Stockton St. near union square. Depends how much time you have really. Hope you have fun. If you'll be on BART I suggest getting of at Powell street station. It's the gateway to Westfield mall(which is huge!!) as well as union square! Plus there's a Starbucks directly adjacent to the station, so you can get your coffee before heading out into the SF fog!! :) - melissamouse93

Thanks for the tips, I will be flying in and I will have to depend on public transportation... and my feet. But looks like everyone says go to the museum, so I just might. Also I'm a music student, so is there any cool music related stuff? - MJisMM
