So I need to book our hotel for our Christmas trip pretty soon. Don't want anything fancy, since we won't be in the room much. Want to be able to walk to the park, though...anybody know which one might be the cheapest?
HoJo is the official hotel of MW. You get a MW discount!!! - Katrayher

Park vue inn is right across the entrance. No parking fees and free coffee/fruit and cookies in the lobby 24-7. Hot continental breakfast. Nothing fancy. - Polkadobo

You could try Priceline's name your own price option...you give then the dates of your stay, price range, area, and star level, and they book a stay for you within those parameters if a hotel is available. The cheapest we've gotten is $35/night at the Travelodge, but we've also been put in the Convention Center Hilton and Holiday Inn several times for under $50/night. Other than using Priceline, a good deal that we recently found was the Super 8 for $45/night (back in September). - Spoonful_O_Sugar

Yes, try priceline too! Though remember you may get stuck with expensive parking fees after you get there and annoying shuttles with some of the nicer hotels. - Polkadobo

La quinta (use the corporate code LOVES for a cheaper price) or the super 8 on katella. Both are decent and walking distance :) - Armenda
