Id start out grabbing the holiday rides first starting with Ghost Galaxy. After that grab Star Tours, Indy and the mountains. When DCA opens run over for a WoC pass and Tower, screaming and Soarin. Repeat this process as often as you are allowed or grab other fast passes for rides you like with long lines. NEVER grab a fast pass for a ride that is usually a short line. Big Thunder is also on a separate FP system...so if you get FPs for say, Space Mountain, you can get Big Thunder FPs right away & don't need to wait for the next FP available time printed on the Space FP. You *do* need to wait for the next available FP time printed on the BTMRR FP to get another BTMRR FP. For busy attractions like SM Ghost Galaxy & HMH, don't wait until late to use the FPs...people tend to use theirs late in the evening like after fireworks.
