Question for you all: 2 nights at the Paradise Pier hotel with Upper Theme Park View or 2 nights at the Disneyland hotel, Standard View??? The price difference is $6 between the options. Leaning towards Paradise due to Disneyland Hotel construction. Has anyone stayed here during construction?

I love both hotels...the only draw back to the Pier is walking arcoss the street..it scares the heck out of me...so I would say DH..plus your not in your room that much anyway. - dawna  286.9 #688 10:31AM
For me... Paradise Pier everytime, I love the theme park view and if you get the north end, you get a great view of the fireworks also - FreddyC626  30.7 #4344 10:30AM
I personally prefer the DL hotel because it is so much easier to get to the parks. There used to be a tram but I don't think there is so you have to hoof it back and forth. Check with the PP for sure. The DL hotel grounds are currently under going some renovation so you can't walk between the towers only around them the middle where the pool area is the construction area. So that maybe a concern to you. Both hotels rooms are excellent and the DL hotel has more options for dining and is closer to DTD. Hope that helps. - splashphotoCM  880.9 #101 10:31AM
and your right there is not a tram from the Pier any longer..I was just there in Aug. - dawna  286.9 #688 10:33AM
Also, if you have kids the walk to to PP is a consideration. - splashphotoCM  880.9 #101 10:41AM
It is fun to look out the window and see what's going on in DCA at all hours. PP rooms are also a bit bigger. The renovated rooms are nice at DL hotel, plus you feel just a wee bit closer to DTD. If it's a view you want then PP. Otherwise DL hotel with standard view. - debzdo  19.1 #5158 10:35AM
I prefer the Paradise Pier. i love the view..it is so relaxing! - Disneymomof4  29.7 #4395 10:37AM
Thanks for everyone's feedback. I have stayed at both hotels before. But the construction is hindering me. With the paradise pier, instead of walking across the street, you can exit through the back of the hotel and walk in through DTD and take the monorail in. If we are going to DCA we go through the Grand. I think I am leaning towards PP just to be safe on noise interruptions. - DisneyBride°O°  366.5 #381 10:39AM
I would agree with you. Spending that much a night and have all the construction walls up ticks me off. - splashphotoCM  880.9 #101 10:51AM
Yup that's what I do also just exit through the back of the Hotel! I don't feel the walk is that bad like some people make it out to be. - robman97  355.4 #402 10:58AM
