I've noticed a few things in the parks that don't seem very safe to me, like the low fences around the water in NOS and the seat belts on Soaring Over CA. Am I just a worrier or does anyone else think about these things when they are in the parks?
And one day you will work for cal OSHA and ruin Disneyland even more. If you want safe STAY HOME. - HotDiggityDogDaddy

We really don't need OSHA more on our case than they are right now. - BCC 4640.6 #5 9:49PM
No I will never work for OSHA and I love Disneyland, but those are things I've noticed in the parks. - 4Toucans 7.6 #7801 10:03PM
The seat belts on Soarin Over California are fine. - goofball

Come on guys, the poster was only asking if anyone else felt that way. It's not very family-like to tell them to stay home if it bugs them. We can just say "Nah, I'm good with it." - LaneSparrow316

I think Disney does a wonderful job providing safe family fun. You can't live in a plastic bubble. Have some fun stop worrying - paulj

The only thing that scares me is btmrr. Anytime I sit with someone larger than I am, which is most because I'm small in overall size, I feel like I'm gonna fly out..so I hold my son because I can see him flying up on those dips. - MarshaMouse

Haha that's the main reason I love that ride. Because I feel like I'm gonna fly off xD - Jillian 765.4 #129 9:57PM
I agree -- there's so much room. I hang on for dear life! - NermieMouse 89.4 #3149 12:17AM
Has anyone noticed that the popcorn is slightly larger than average human throat? I mean isn't that a choking hazard? - SorcererBHhaha

No more DL snacks for children that can fit into the size of a toilet roll tube! Whose with me? - Polkadobo 372.1 #370 10:18PM
Sometimes, I'll notice something -- like I how I wish they'd have individual safety bars on BTMRR, but for the most part I don't worry when I'm at the Parks.
Great photo, BTW :) - NermieMouse

Seriously Im just a safety freak, but children arent always supervised well on TS island - 4Toucans 7.6 #7801 9:53PM
People should watch their kids. - ERICKA 491.4 #243 9:54PM
Really? I don't let my son out of my sight. And he knows how to swim. - FanOfJack 63.6 #3508 10:02PM
I get legitimately nervous on soarin over California. Like really. I hold on tight the whole time. Never noticed the low fences though - niickayy

I've seen children lean over on Soarin - 4Toucans 7.6 #7801 9:55PM
I know. The searbelts are fine. I just personally am extremely afraid of heights and I get nervous. I know it's safe it just scares me personally. - niickayy 23.3 #4788 10:04PM
I'm 5'4 and the fences go up to my waist. The only way I can fall in is if I climb over. - ERICKA

Disney has only had one drowning death in 55 odd years. Seems like a safe track record to me. - HotDiggityDogDaddy

And it was cuz the boy wanted to stay on toms sawyer island after closing so the two brothers tried to swim back to nos and one got tired and swam with the brother and drowned -_- bad idea! - princessVanessa 382.5 #351 10:02PM
True. But people who drowned were coming from the other side back after failin to obey park rules. I offer psychotherapy for people who "worry". Just a thought. - CriminalShrink 306.7 #575 11:03PM
I won't let me kids go on soarin because I'm afraid they are going to fall out and I hold on for dear life when I ride it! - akpoppins

I have a slightly used bubble to sell you. - KissDclown
1088.1 #77 10:07PM
Is the bubble padded in case I fall off of soarin? - ERICKA 491.4 #243 10:09PM
Yep...you'll bounce just fine 😃 - KissDclown 1088.1 #77 10:09PM
Those fences have been there for 56 years so I think it's all good... as far as Soarin goes... I hold on so tight and lean so far back that I've never thought about the seatbelt! - msdizmaui

I Think You Should Be More Worried About The Drive To The Park. Instead Of Being In The Park - Blaine951

Haha jerzanemama beat me to it (in MYland I say it like that too)! ... Instead, "and please, watch your children". - 559MickeyLover
266.9 #855 9:51PM
You would have to jump out of your seat on purpose in order to be in any danger on Soarin'. The entire park should have padded walls and floors in case I fall down while on MW and walking at the sometime. This is a clear safety issue that needs to be addressed! - Nyghtngale
547.8 #204 9:59PM
I always use the little safety loop on soarin even though I'm 18 and tall enough to ride without it - SeafoamPink

If Im locked down with extra seat belts in soarin i won't be soarin anymore. It's that why they have the extra loop for smaller aviators. - disneygal

If its not broken why fix it , they added stupid railing thats not needed in the horseshoe because of some OSHA worry wart. - radiodisneytech

Lol. That reminds me of the high school I worked at....and I quote "we were waiting for something to happen....now that the kid got jumped we will add security" Wow!!! I don't think that should have been said but I guess that's how they think. We will wait until we have to do something. It could be "broken" but they r just waiting...
