I had a craving for some Tigger Tails, so I attempted to make my own version at home. Not bad, but I won't be hired as a candy maker in DL anytime soon. 

The trick is to freeze the marshmallows. Then freeze after caramel. Then freeze after chocolate. HTH - DesperateMousewife  873.8 #104 11:21PM
Thanks for the tip! I also think I need to use different caramels. The ones I used were very sticky! - missyhidy  242.0 #1091 11:57PM
Thanx! DMW :) - jerzanemama  113.4 #2842 12:00AM
The chocolate they use at Disneyland is candy chocolate. Best to buy at close by cake supplie stores. & be sure to temper it! (google or YouTube how to temper chocolate) that way u will get a clean looking chocolate, that *Snaps* when u bite into it (as disneyland tigger tails do) :) - TiffyMarie  301.2 #605 12:05AM
Good to know! Thank you!! - missyhidy  242.0 #1091 7:35AM
Yeah, you need to use a good caramel for candy making like the Peter's caramel brand that comes in a block. It has more cream in it, and is easier to melt and cover the marshmallows. Another tip is to not submerge the marshmallow (hence the pooling at the bottom) but to "spoon" it on. - DesperateMousewife  873.8 #104 12:08AM
I added milk to the caramel and it made it smoother but it was still way too sticky. Halfway through I started to spoon it on because the marshmallows were beginning to melt when I dipped them. I also need to make sure I have wax paper next time. - missyhidy  242.0 #1091 8:15AM
What is a tigger tail? - Mousersize  96.3 #3074 12:39AM
Marshmallows dipped in caramel, chocolate, and rolled in orange colored sugar, with chocolate drizzles on top. They look like Tigger's tail. - missyhidy  242.0 #1091 7:41AM
Thanks DMW! I need to try this soon. And thanks Misshindy for the post. :-) - PrincessDuckie  587.4 #187 8:05AM
They look pretty good to me!!! - RCmom  2589.5 #20 8:06AM
Still look yummy....:-) - disneymomma1  320.3 #520 8:13AM
They were very tasty. I just need to perfect the look of them now. :) - missyhidy  242.0 #1091 8:58AM
I tried to make hunny pot apples this week. It has already been noted, but you need to freeze between steps. I think I am going to try the tigger tails too... - AZDisney  243.0 #1073 9:17AM
mmmm...The apples ate my favorite. I need to try those next. - missyhidy  242.0 #1091 6:21AM
*The apples are my favorite. - missyhidy  242.0 #1091 6:23AM
I use the caramel apple wraps -you can cut them into strips using a pizza cutter to fit the marshmellows and Guitard melting chocolate (sold @the WinCo in their bulk section) and add orange candy oil & I don't bother with the sugar...tastes yummy just doesn't look just like them - yellowtonka  237.7 #1136 7:17AM
