MouseWait probably would not have been born without Steve Jobs' vision of the app store and the iPhone. This is definitely a sad day as we lose one of the great innovators of our time - he was also Disney's largest shareholder and Pixar would not have survived without him - so he has had a profound effect on Disney as we know it. Post your memories of Steve Jobs here and how he has affected your life - I personally remember hearing about his app store announcement and knowing I would have to make a Disneyland app - I was so excited when I heard he was doing this and I knew the app store would be a game changer in so many ways
Like Admin said with out Steve Jobs there would be NO Mousewait. Without Mousewait I may have never met this group of Amazing people I am privelaged to call my friends and family! Thank YOU Steve Jobs May you rest in peace! - Mrsblue

A friend told me a story about an employee at pixar who had a child in need of a life saving operation. The surgeon they needed would not come to CA to operate. Steve Jobs heard about this and called the surgeon himself. He came to CA. I'm sure there are lots more stories like this one. A great man who will be missed. - happiestplace

My personal favorite quote from Steve.
“Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking.
Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”
You will be missed.

What Steve Jobs and his team have done for the music industry as well is fantastic. People are buying music again. and they are buying 'singles' again. And the sales have helped us in radio with what local listeners want to hear. - RadioMaverick

When it comes to innovations, Steve Jobs should be up there with Thomas Edison, Hewlett Packard, Alexander Graham Bell, and of course, Walt Disney. People like Steve and the others have found ways to truly change our lives. Rest in Peace Mr. Jobs, and thank you for everything you've done for the world, from inventing devices you can store your life on, to the donations you've made to countries that needed help, you truly are a giant among men. - MrLeeFromDisney

Agreed! Rest in peace, Steve... :( he has influenced me to work more with computers, I have an iPhone, and currently want an iPad and MacBook. Also, if he hadn't co-founded Pixar, then I would have never wanted to look into becoming an annimator for Pixar because it wouldn't exist. After our Commador 64 our first grown-up computer was a Apple II E, and we have had a computer in the house ever since. That was Steve Jobs vision. He revolutionized the world as we know it! Our lives would not be what they are today. And for me personally ... On a minor key there never would have been a short film from Pixar that made me so happy! Thank you Steve Jobs RIP you changed the world! - Boundin

When I first learned about him was when I was in HS doing a little report for my economics class. Now that I understand what he did for the world, he really touched everyone in some way, from revolutionizing the music business to creating computers that I use at school to edit videos on, to the technology that MW uses. Without him, the friendships you and I have made here would not have been possible. The Disney family and the world will miss him dearly. - BaseballMickey_CM

All Pixar movies have made me smile and cry and have brought scores of hours of enjoyment to my family. I am sad. There are just a few people that have such a positive difference in the world. Steve Jobs changed my life; it's not just about what he created, but it was his vision and insight on creativity that helped fuel my very own ambition & motivation to do what I love in life. I'll never forget watching my friend work in Photoshop on his PowerMac in 1997 as an intern for Disney and being totally inspired to do the same, so I did. I bought my very first Apple PowerMac. Since that day, my passion for art, photography, design, and music have been fueled and never been the same. With the help of Steve's amazing innovations and inventions, he helped to keep my dreams alive and like Steve, I'll never stop dreaming and will never stop doing what makes me happy; art, design, photography, and creating music. He's truly an inspiration and I'll forever be grateful for the wonderful avenues he has created for the world around us.. - OCdrumGuy
