MouseWait probably would not have been born without Steve Jobs' vision of the app store and the iPhone. This is definitely a sad day as we lose one of the great innovators of our time - he was also Disney's largest shareholder and Pixar would not have survived without him - so he has had a profound effect on Disney as we know it. Post your memories of Steve Jobs here and how he has affected your life - I personally remember hearing about his app store announcement and knowing I would have to make a Disneyland app - I was so excited when I heard he was doing this and I knew the app store would be a game changer in so many ways

Like Admin said with out Steve Jobs there would be NO Mousewait. Without Mousewait I may have never met this group of Amazing people I am privelaged to call my friends and family! Thank YOU Steve Jobs May you rest in peace! - Mrsblue  693.1 #306 10:06PM
thank you for posting this admin! I worked for apple for some time and by far is one of the best jobs I had. There we were all family and I guesse you can say jobs was our big papa! I will forever remember my time at apple some of the best times of my life and for that thank you steve you will be missed but NEVER forgotten now go make great things in heaven I expect a apple pat. A friend told me a story about an employee at pixar who had a child in need of a life saving operation. The surgeon they needed would not come to CA to operate. Steve Jobs heard about this and called the surgeon himself. He came to CA. I'm sure there are lots more stories like this one. A great man who will be missed. - happiestplace  277.1 #1145 10:55PM
One day our grand kids will study about this guy and think wow people actually had to type their words and this man made that machine? And Siri will be a washed up mom. - HotDiggityDogDaddy  1113.5 #175 11:42PM
My personal favorite quote from Steve. “Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” You will be missed.  - Wizard  81.6 #4023 8:31AM
The world has lost a great talent today. I am saddened by the news. He changed the way we communicate with each other.. for many years to come. Steve Jobs and Walt Disney are true innovators and visionaries. RIP Steve. Thanks for all you have given us! - wickedale  441.0 #525 10:06PM

Thanks to Jobs for all his dedicAtion and hard work and always put 100% his hard work payed off I am grateful And on a good note as Mr.Jobs said once: Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do" - Steve Jobs  - CaliAdventure  225.3 #1726 10:12PM
What Steve Jobs and his team have done for the music industry as well is fantastic. People are buying music again. and they are buying 'singles' again. And the sales have helped us in radio with what local listeners want to hear. - RadioMaverick  1276.9 #146 10:21PM
When it comes to innovations, Steve Jobs should be up there with Thomas Edison, Hewlett Packard, Alexander Graham Bell, and of course, Walt Disney. People like Steve and the others have found ways to truly change our lives. Rest in Peace Mr. Jobs, and thank you for everything you've done for the world, from inventing devices you can store your life on, to the donations you've made to countries that needed help, you truly are a giant among men. - MrLeeFromDisney  263.7 #1291 10:51PM

I worked for apple corporate for 3 years under steve. He was truely an amazing person who impacted the lives of many people, some who may not have even realized it. Tim Cook is an excellent choice to follow in steves footsteps. R.I.P. Steve, you will be missed, but never forgotten. - relay  6.0 #16670 5:25AM
Agreed! Rest in peace, Steve... :( he has influenced me to work more with computers, I have an iPhone, and currently want an iPad and MacBook. Also, if he hadn't co-founded Pixar, then I would have never wanted to look into becoming an annimator for Pixar because it wouldn't exist. He will always be missed and remembered as one of the greatest innovators of our time - dlmickeymouseCM  2405.6 #67 9:59PM

After our Commador 64 our first grown-up computer was a Apple II E, and we have had a computer in the house ever since. That was Steve Jobs vision. He revolutionized the world as we know it! Our lives would not be what they are today. And for me personally ... On a minor key there never would have been a short film from Pixar that made me so happy! Thank you Steve Jobs RIP you changed the world! - Boundin  811.5 #242 10:19PM
When I first learned about him was when I was in HS doing a little report for my economics class. Now that I understand what he did for the world, he really touched everyone in some way, from revolutionizing the music business to creating computers that I use at school to edit videos on, to the technology that MW uses. Without him, the friendships you and I have made here would not have been possible. The Disney family and the world will miss him dearly. - BaseballMickey  8007.1 #11 10:19PM

I remember driving by the Apple campus everyday on my way to DeAnza College while studying film & design...hoping to one be cool enough to work there. I never did become cool, but I did become a designer & artist who was helped every step of the way by Apple products. Thanks Mr. Jobs!!! RIP - iRunDisney  75.9 #4139 10:25PM
RIP Steve Jobs. Thank you for heading up two compaies that have made a positive difference in my life. I love  having information and music with me at my fingertips. All Pixar movies have made me smile and cry and have brought scores of hours of enjoyment to my family.  I am sad. There are just a few people that have such a positive difference in the world. Walt Disney, Jim Henson, Mr. Rodgers, Theodore Giesel, and now Steve Jobs. Thank you Mr Jobs for indirectly bringing us MW and inspiring Admin. - PrincessDuckie  928.5 #209 10:34PM

Steve Jobs changed my life; it's not just about what he created, but it was his vision and insight on creativity that helped fuel my very own ambition & motivation to do what I love in life. I'll never forget watching my friend work in Photoshop on his PowerMac in 1997 as an intern for Disney and being totally inspired to do the same, so I did. I bought my very first Apple PowerMac. Since that day, my passion for art, photography, design, and music have been fueled and never been the same. With the help of Steve's amazing innovations and inventions, he helped to keep my dreams alive and like Steve, I'll never stop dreaming and will never stop doing what makes me happy; art, design, photography, and creating music. He's truly an inspiration and I'll forever be grateful for the wonderful avenues he has created for the world around us.. - OCdrumGuy  624.7 #348 4:15AM

Disneyland unFORECAST (BETA) is here! Top MouseWaiters giving you the rundown of what's happening at the Disneyland Resort. The unFORECAST now has its own page on the web www.unFORECAST.com

unFORECAST for the month of June 2016
Last month (May) seemed to be quieter than last year, probably because the 60th Celebration began last May, making last summer a lot busier. Looking back at MouseWait's Historical Crowd Index (available in our MagicPlan iOS Calendar), crowds averaged in the mid 80s (approx 85% capacity) for the first two weeks of June, then it quieted down in the last two weeks of the month. We are estimating smaller crowds than last summer because the 60th Celebration is over a year old, and there are still a lot of attractions being refurbished. To get a real-time look at crowd levels, check the MouseWait App for Crowd Index averages and wait times. Have a great week! - Admin Jun 3, 2016 12:07PM

We have always noticed that Saturdays are better than Sundays! We always come on the weekend and say we want to leave at dinner time on Sunday, but always leave by 11-12 because there are so many people. We love Saturday!! - 1Princess3Princes  643.7 #333 5:39PM
I agree. I think it has to do with most passes being blocked - PoohSizedGuy  20.6 #7521 11:53PM
