I agree with 'Disneybride' and all those similar. All these years of the track being wasted, the imagineers really need to step on it and get something in place. An easy fix for something that is already 80 % built. Disney always said there would be anew addition every year, what an easy fix... - H2otigger

Such an awesome ride... Sad that they didn't realize the speed/track turn issue before making it. I remember standing in line for about 5 hours to ride it because of all the breakdowns.

My mom and I were at the park all day and my dad just met us for a few hours. It was the only ride we wound up doing but we waited in line for three hours it broke down twice but we waited. We were next to get on and they shut it down for night. My mom was hysterical not knowing where we were, my dad was mad he wasted his whole time at the parks in line. I got to go the next day but by myself. Haha oh the memories. - mouselaw1076

If they had modified it, like it originally was designed with banks at each turn, it would have been AMAZING! instead they tried to save money and the end result was overheating brakes and nonstop breakdowns..... I was told that the problem was not the brakes but was the cost of the tires used on the "Rods" themselves. They were a unique tire made by Goodyear specifically for this ride. Disney was paying through the nose for them and they were wearing down faster than expected. Would have liked to have ridden this ride. My father-in-law did some consulting on these when they were having problems. He said they used Mitsubishi sensors (which are junk) and that's why it kept breaking down. They had planned to replace all the sensors but by that time the rides popularity was way down. A CM told me that they are working on a new ride for the track but haven't released any info yet. - bubbajbi

I loved rocket rods!!!! The line was never under 2 hours but it was so much fun. I remember it breaking down a lot but never when I was in line. Such a bummer that this was never re-imagined. I do love the people mover though. They need to do something with this track. It's being wasted. - DisneyBride°O°

I thought they said at D23 that they were bringing back the people mover. Someone on MW recently posted a picture of a door backstage with a new sign that said something like "Peoplemover: Authorized Personel Only". Something will happen soon. - Nyghtngale

omg I totally remember going to dl for the opening. day with my mom and one of my friends and we only showed up to go on that ride at it was about 10:30 Pm and we didn't leave the park till almost 2am! I fell asleep in lone where America sings was. America sings is now where astro blasters is. I loved that ride, hated the line but break downs makes it an epic fail! - SammyJo
