We all know Disneyland can't be compared to any other theme parks out there but have any of you taken your children/siblings to any other theme park and didn't like it? I have a feeling if i take my daughter somewhere else shes going to look at me and be like ok mom really? Shes only 3 but we go to disneyland all the time so she'll notice a difference.
I think each theme park offers something different and shouldn't be compared to disney. disney is in a league of its own. although places like knotts or mg mtn arent as nice as disney (or clean) but they have things that disney doesn't have. ie: diff chars, diff theme,diff attractions. also you have to remember, look how much disney charges for tickets and merchandise and food, so that they can upkeep the park the way we love to see it. I'm sure if every park cost as much as disney did, they'd be nicer too. - mochamistie

I beg to differ. The merchandise and food is just as expensive at other parks as Disney, and the admissions as well. True, they offer more discounts, but I don't want to go someplace where they cheap out on maintenance. I've used my premium ap about 30 days since February, so for me, it's cheaper than setting foot in another park for even one day. - bluefairy 627.4 #174 3:35PM

We have had annual passes for over 13yrs, but my kids love other theme parks. Sea World, Knotts (especially Halloweentime), Magic Mtn. Etc...etc... - Disneymomof4

Love the trill rides at Magic Mountain but hate EVERYTHING else about it. There is no magic at other theme parks. Disneyland has a feeling about it and I feel safe there. Don't really feel safe at Magic Mountain. LOL! - DisneyBride°O°

I've taken my kid everywhere lol he liked Knotts, Legoland, wasn't all that, he can't get on anything in six flags so that was a big no he liked the aquarium and sea world and both LA zoo and san Diego zoo. Universal doesn't have much for him so id say just Knotts was a good one I'd take him back there but Disney is still the best. Mind you he's only 2 spoiled. - Jackie211

My son like San Diego zoo better.. I tell you he spoiled my sister's help take him everywhere he's the only grandchild / nephew so he's spoiled but he's well behaved never gives any tantrums I would not be able to take him to all these place if it wasn't for them but I still say Disney wins above all but we'd gotta show him around lol - Jackie211 472.2 #256 3:22PM
@DisneyBride, I agree about feeling safe at Disney as compared to other parks. Also, for me I am not a thrill ride person so there is more at DL for me to enjoy than at other parks. - Duchess73

I also have a 3 year old and we go to Disneyland all re time too and we just took him to Legoland and he loved it. He keeps wanting to go back to Legoland. He of course still loves to go to Disneyland. I think it would be a fun experience to try something new. - flipflopmama

I've been to other theme parks but never really fully enjoy myself like at DL. I remember one time when I was little, my family made plans to spend some days in DL and then visit Universal Studios since we never been. That idea did not sit well with me and the whole time at univeral I kept saying I wanted to be back in DL and didn't understand why we were here when DL was so close. I wore my Daisy hat the entire time and my face looks so upset in every picture xD - Jillian

The wife and I went to Universal on Tuesday... First time in years. I just kept thinking how we definitely weren't in Disneyland anymore... Everything from the employees to the shows to the music... Disneyland does everything better. - corran450

I really do not enjoy going to other parks. I'm a little jaded because I'm a seasonal employee at one of these mentioned theme parks. They really don't value customer service at all. When I first started working there some leads told me to stop taking so much time talking to the customers and just get them to buy premium products. When I mentioned that I was still int he Disney Cast Member frame of mind I was told "Well you don't work at Disney anymore, do you?". My heart broke a little inside. I hope I get the job at the Disney Store so I can throw my other name tag in the trash! - Nyghtngale

I also work at a theme park and I've been told that Im too nice to the guests. I think that by leads telling employees that they are too nice or they can't talk to the guests for a long time won't keep guests coming into the park and it also makes the employees endure all the back talk about poor customer service when we are trying to be better but we can't. - vsalinas15

Nothing beats dl CM's!!! but dl could use some bigger roller coaster rides. I love the coasters magicmtn but hate the feel of the place. I feel yucky after being there. - Pintraderswife

I grew up in a family where we hit all theme parks and loved them all. Each one holds special family and friend memories. But there has always been and will always be a special place in my heart for Disney. Even with all the other special memories of other theme parks, if I was told I could only go into one for the rest of my life I would of course choose Disneyland. Everywhere you take her will be special because she's with family, but like most of us on here if given the choice Disney would be our pick. - sweetkat
