i am going to disneyland friday. i just got braces and spacers last week and it still hurts like heck to eat anything but soup. how many soups do they have? i know about the bread bowls its what i always get but do any other places have soup not in bread?

Take Advil about 30 minutes prior to sitting down to eat...that helped me when I had braces-my dentist recommended it..needless to say I was able to eat almost anything and you definately would be able to eat a churro! and if not dont forget about the clam chowder or jambalaya or dole whips and ice cream or maybe even the baked potatoes - yellowtonka

I lived on bananas when that happened. But when I had my mouth wired shut for 6 wks I tried blending food. Discusting! I lived on shakes made from instant breakfast powder, milk,ice cream,and flavored coffee (like international coffee powder). Good luck. - SueBayou

ugh i know your pain. no one ever told me how much braces hurt when i got them. i would suggest mashed potatoes from the plaza inn. coz the soup is gonna hurt too much. and even ice-cream hurts coz your mouth is covered in metal so every tooth feels the cold and feels it super fast. - maxinerenton

Dont forget Plaza Inn has mashed potatoes and gravy you can order ala carte, or refried beans at the mexican resturant ....check out the food menu;s on here...there has got to be lots of options - yellowtonka

Oh mashed potatos is my heaven now! Its not the braces so much as the spacers that hurt when i eat, except the front teeth braces hurt. I have been living on cream of wheat and smoothies for breakfast, vegetable soup thats nice and soft for lunch and mashed potatos and soup for dinner lol. Even cheese hurts if its not melted! I can't eat a churro for sure, to crunchy. If its not soft its not working, i try =/ Thanks everyone! - TinkgirlMel
