What's your most fond memory of Disneyland? Mine is when I was a kid my great-grandmother would come visit from Oregon and take us all to Disneyland.
Taking our daughter for her first time, I will never forget the excitement on her face and experiencing Disney through her eyes - KAA

When I was 7, I was in the International Children's Choir from Long Beach. I had the pleasure of being one of the first boats in It's a Small World with Walt Disney himself. We had small urns of water that we poured into the ride's water. We also used to be in the Christmas parades and would get to hang out backstage with all of the characters and parade floats. I remember shaking Walt Disney's hand and I didn't want to wash my hand, so I put a plastic bag around it for a few days. I guess even at 7, I knew how special that moment really was. - snowwannab

Summer 2011. I took my gf to Disneyland for the first time. Even though we were in the park since 8am - 12am. She still had the biggest smile on her face. That was priceless for me :) can't wait to go to DLR with her for christmas!! :) - steph122

June 2006, my best friends and I were watching the fireworks and there was just a moment of everything doesn't matter besides that moment. This is why I love Disneyland. For that specific moment and memory - TikiJOSEsWingman

When I was in like second or third grade my dad took me to school & said I forgot your lunch $. Then we left & he took me to disneyland without my brother or sister. Just the 2 of us. We aren't as close as we used to be so I cherish that memory. Now its taking my baby & seeing him get more excited each time we go.especially when he sees mickey.sorry for writing a book here. - Splashmountgirl

When I went this last December. It was the first visit with my boyfriend (we got annual passes that trip so we go all the time now) and his family was with us. Standing on main street, while watching the fireworks with everyone he slipped his arms around me and I realized for the first time that I loved this man. Took about a month to tell him though LOL - lovchristina

When I was eight my parents took us on a vacation to DL for my birthday. Unfortunately I broke my arm at my bday party a few days before our trip. But what that meant was a signed cast by so many characters and even strangers who thought I was cute! My mom still has that cast somewhere. - GoldenEilonwy

We couldn't do a lot of vacations, so Disneyland was the one thing we did only a few times. During one of those visits when I was a little girl I fell in love with Tinker Bell. During the years growing up I never really saw her for one reason or another. Then one year we brought our daughters to the park and were standing in line for Casey Jr. The fireworks show began and as I turned around guess who was flying my way! There she was waving her wand looking just as I remembered. I was so excited to see her, I grabbed my girls, couldn't talk and my eyes watered. It was such a great moment, it reminded me of my dad, who had passed away the year before, he and mom did the best they could to make memories for us and there was my biggest one right above me! Thanks for letting me share. - pamntink

I've had so many and hope to have many more. My parents always saved to take us to Disneyland and I grew up adoring everything disney but especially Disneyland. For my sisters senior trip my mom and I joined her during the 50th celebration. We had a blast together but what I remember most was standing on main street watching the fireworks and when I heard Walt say "to all who come to this happy place, welcome" I lost it and started to cry. For some reason it was so moving to me. He created my favorite place on earth and here I was sharing and celebrating with my two favorite ladies. They laughed at me for crying but it was a beautiful moment ill remember forever! - mickeyboo

I went with my parents and my sons when they were 4 and 7. The youngest was terrified of riding the Matterhorn, so my father pretended to be also so he wouldn't be embarassed. I can still picture them sitting together on the bench waiting for us - in fact when I walked by it this summer with the same son (who's now 30), the memory made me tear up! - msdizmaui
