My husband just asked me "why does the mad hatter have a 10/6 on his hat?" I don't know, can anyone tell us?

Heres what I found "The card or label on the Hatter's hat reads "In this style 10/6". "10/6" means ten shillings and six pence (or a half guinea), the price of the hat in pre-decimalized British money and acts as a visual indication of the hatter's trade" - Goofed_out 239.7 #1140 8:51AM
