I gotta question for all of ya. What draws you to Disney in general? Not just Disneyland but everything Disney. For me, it's my escape from reality. So much bad stuff in the world, it's nice to have something that makes me happy. What about you?

The fairytale aspect of it. I've always wanted to be a princess and always will be one - SarahInWonderland  42.9 #5081 7:33PM
I guess its really just the overall magic of Disney that I love. - theRealDisneygirlforevr  175.3 #2312 7:34PM
Its a place where most people want to be there and aren't forced to be there. Its a place where that when you hear it in the outside world, you get that warm and happy feeling about because of the memories you made being there. I use it as a place where I can forget my stressful schedule and where I can get paid to have fun! - BaseballMickey_CM  7599.7 #11 7:35PM
its all the happiness and joy i feel when i enter the park and how all my worries go away when im there with my family - DLfan2011  288.6 #987 7:36PM
Its all about the imagination and the originality for me. Its better now that I'm older to know that even adults can have a wonderful world to believe in and to have to escape to. - imherhuckleberry  4.3 #22206 7:40PM
@bigdisneykid- I agree with you. We have had a horrible past few months with my husband losing his job, having to move out over and over again, and all of life's other struggles. We have had a trip planned for Halloween since the beginning of June and we decided even though we don't have a lot of money we are still going to go because we need to escape with the kids from the pressures of adult life and have some fun again! - 1Princess3Princes  611.2 #333 7:54PM
It's the over all magical feeling I get when walking through the gates at the parks. It transports me back to my childhood and the endless possibilities of a child's mind and innocents of not knowing any better. - Donaldfan_532  247.3 #1391 7:59PM
I agree with everyone. Disneyland is just a great escape. It really has it's own aura and you can't help but feel happy. I know that for the few hours that I'm at the park I don't have to worry about life outside and i can just be in pure happiness :) - CAMcakes26  10.4 #10760 8:03PM
Its how you can walk through the gate an adult and come out on the other side a child. Where I can be a child without worries carefree and no one pointing a finger cuz your just as excited as your kids are. - 2doors  6.6 #14820 8:06PM

I just cannot imagine not having Disney. All the movies I saw as a kid growing up where Disney movies, at home it was Sunday nights with the Wonderful World of Disney, and holidays specials. At school the same thing, that was were I first saw Robin Hood and the Aristocats. I was a pre teen it was the Disney channel afternoons and the Gummi Bears. As a parent it was Playhouse Disney, I mean the ones with Bear, Rolie Polie Olie and PBJ Otter. Ever part of my life I can find Disney in it and I guess that's why. - Nettenutt  325.9 #769 8:39PM
I agree with everyone... I love that not only can you escape reality for a while and forget your cares (whether it is watching a Disney movie, getting to go to the parks, or just looking at the merchandise on-line or in the store)... I love that Disney gives you permission to let go and be child-like in your immersion and joy. @thomaks - sorry to hear of your struggles... hang in there, things will turn around for you (I hope sooner rather than later). We will also be at the parks for Halloween... decided to plan a trip even though my hubby was also out of work at the time (and was for almost 2 years) but decided still need to enjoy the now at least some of the time... so I hope you are able to go and just enjoy!! Best wishes to you... - Duchess73  340.9 #702 8:46PM
I think Disneyland is what I wish the outside world was like. A slower pace of life. Time to smell the roses. Time to sit and people watch. Time to walk up and down the street window shopping. Time to stand in line for awhile for some excitment. It is clean, beautiful, peaceful, and exciting. I really wish the everyday life was as magical as Disneyland. - VanDisney  342.3 #698 9:07PM
Disneyland is my therapy! You have all said things that many of us feel. It is such a special place and I am so happy that I have found mw to have a bond with people who understand and feel the way I do. It is truly a magical place! I have been hundreds of times and I still get the same feeling as I did when I was a child when I board the tram or enter the gates. - snowwannab  751.3 #253 9:19PM
