MW Mommies- how soon after birth can you return to riding on the pregnancy no-no attractions? We got orders to VA so I will be moving only a couple of weeks after lil one is born and I am hoping I can squeeze in a DL trip and be able to check out the new Star Tours and go on ToT again

I'd give it a couple hours, just to be safe - BLG  1048.9 #174 9:12PM
Depends on your recovery time - I had a c-section and wouldn't consider something like that for at least two months. My sister was up and doing normal stuff within two weeks (no c-section). - Duchess73  340.9 #702 9:13PM
I would say six weeks sweets - Mrsblue  693.1 #285 9:13PM
@ BLG...I totally spit my drink out of my nose--thanks lol - pridegirl  386.8 #582 9:15PM
I was able to fill my dishwasher 12 hours after having my 4th. If the opportunity would have presented itself I would have gone to Disneyland and been tired but fine. You should definitely go! - Missshelly  698.3 #278 9:16PM
LOL BLG! I know you never know what will happen, but I am delivering at a Birth Center with a 3% C section rate so I'm assuming that won't be the case. They do the first follow up appt at 2 weeks I will ask them then, because I know I won't want to wait 6 weeks to move to join DH. Granted, he could be on hold for awhile and not have to report until then. Guess we'll have to see :) - TickledTink  370.8 #22 9:18PM
Six weeks is considered the normal recovery time for routine births. Even though you feel ok, there's still a risk of complications. - bunnymama  363.8 #632 9:18PM
Probably best to discuss it with your doc :) He/she knows your situation better than we do! - Spoonful_O_Sugar  613.1 #331 9:18PM
LOL BLG! - Tom  11116.2 #6 9:20PM
LOL@BLG!! It really depends though...I bounced back super fast with one of my kids, and the other took a few weeks before I felt well again. Best wishes!  - MinnieMousewife  914.1 #201 9:20PM
TT- it will depend on your delivery and labor. Everyone is different. Ask your Dr to be safe!!! Some people may be able to walk majorly in a week and some not for 6 or more. It just depends on how fast you heal. - Mrsblue  693.1 #285 9:20PM
exactly. Every labour and birth is different. You need to ask your doctor. - BLG  1048.9 #174 9:21PM
Sounds like a plan. I'll ask my midwife at my 2 week post partum appt and see what she says. I'm going to be so sad being all the way across the country from DL after it being so close my whole life. :( At least WDW will be "only" a 12 hr drive away... - TickledTink  370.8 #22 9:22PM
even in a normal delivery there are stitches to care for and I would not want a strong g force ride putting pressure where it hurts. Always ask you doctor. I do like the "last time at Disney" attitude. - Plumiegirl  10135.3 #8 9:40PM
According to mexicans it's 40 days. Quarismo(sp) - mozbaby  132.2 #3011 9:47PM
Mozbaby is true my MIL wouldn't let me come downstairs for 40 days! She said my uterus would fall out!  - Mrsblue  693.1 #285 9:48PM
@Mrsblue lol It's true!!! It will fall out!! - mozbaby  132.2 #3011 9:51PM
that happens when you get old... - Plumiegirl  10135.3 #8 9:53PM
Idk if it's true Mozbaby. Lol! - Mrsblue  693.1 #285 9:54PM
Yikes, MrsBlue! Didn't know they just fell out, lol! - Spoonful_O_Sugar  613.1 #331 9:55PM
"Get that will you, Deirdre?" -Monty Python - BLG  1048.9 #174 9:58PM
@Mrsblue lol it's not true but you can't even go outside for 40 days... It's just what they say. One person said it and now everyone lives by it . - mozbaby  132.2 #3011 9:59PM
mrsblue and moz. I have heard that - cesium55  531.8 #390 9:59PM
My MIL 100% believes it! She didn't let me out of bed for almost two months! - Mrsblue  693.1 #285 10:02PM
@Mrsblue I bet it was exactly 40 days . Lol did she do that with all of them? - mozbaby  132.2 #3011 10:05PM
No only the first because she moved out of state before the other two! - Mrsblue  693.1 #285 10:08PM
Haha is first born blue also the one she wrapped in lard? . I wonder if pretty pixie tried it for baby yeti. It really does work! - mozbaby  132.2 #3011 10:13PM
LOL I think I would go nuts not going anywhere for 40 days. I will most likely be moving across the country within that timeframe! - TickledTink  370.8 #22 10:16PM
Um Yes Moz! First Born blue got wrapped in lard! - Mrsblue  693.1 #285 10:17PM
Lol BLG laugh of the day!!!!! I say wait about a week or 2 just till you feel up to it after you deliver it ain't really over till about a week you won't want to do much before that  - Jackie211  483.3 #439 10:40PM
All I know is I sure wish my sis would stop nursing. She needs anxiety pills bad. Driving everyone nuts - jon-t  190.5 #2108 10:47PM
Oh my way home from the hospital with number 5 I went to a baseball game and Costco. Then proceeded to continue life as usual. Ladies in the olden days dropped a baby and kept right on working in the fields etc. Women are too soft nowadays! Lol - Katrayher  781.0 #239 10:48PM
Omg blg my eyes wont stop watering I was laughing so hard! that was great! - bobapetebot  137.5 #2926 11:22PM
It's very uncool to laugh at one's own jokes. You can neither see nor hear me - not that it matters because I'm not uncool. - BLG  1048.9 #174 11:30PM
