Help me! If you had to pick one. Drive 8 hours and stay at disneyland hotel or fly down and stay across the street.

That's a tough one. Driving would get you to stay in a more prime spot but flying gets you more time in the parks and you don't have to worry about driving home. I am going against majority...I would fly. How much time do you spend in the hotel. - DisneyBride°O°

Plus Disneyland Hotel prices are OUTRAGEOUS!!!! I refust to pay over $200 a night for a room. I remember the Grand for one AP promotion was $189-199 and now they want $284 for the Grand, $250 for Disneyland hotel and $225 for Paradise Pier. They are insane. - DisneyBride°O°

Fly! 8 hour drive can turn into a 10 hour one depending on traffic. Besides, you'll spend more time in the parks than at the hotel even if you stay at a DLR hotel. - MellyChelly

Well by the time you get to the airport check in wait fly, drive from airport to DLR. You will prob be looking at at least 6 hours. So I would say drive. If plane is delayed you will waste time. That would be my logical reason. And I love staying at DLR even thou I only live about 15 mins away. :) - Minnis2Society

It's over $200+ a night even with 30% off. From the John Wayne airport it's maybe a 20-30 minute drive. An 8 hour drive or a 2 hour flight even with drive/baggage time is still faster and less stressful. - DisneyBride°O°

Fly. It's the park where you will be speeding all your time. Hotels across the street are great. All you do is sleep there anyway. - kraken33

I like what BTRMMman said. Drive and stay across the street. I use the whole priceline thing and o get the Marriott. Once I got holiday inn. Either way the hotels arent shacks and you'll have money to spend on whatever you want!! - ruhkel
