yes it is what you think it is on her microphone. its a trade secret for keeping sweat out of the body packs. if the sweat gets in it can cause the mic to not work - Pixarprincess

Haha... Why not a glove.. lol - TikiJOSEsWingman

they are too big and what would you do with the fingers, they would be flapping on your back (mic body packs typically go underneath most clothing its common to attach it to the center of a girls back on her bra strap) plus gloves are often "flour-ed" inside - Pixarprincess

but i will admit its the most awkward purchase in the world when you have to go buy 25+ before the beginning of a show... ive gotten some strange looks - Pixarprincess

Yeah, the theatre I work at does the same thing, we have a relatively standing bulk order of them. I sometimes wonder if the company we order from is ever curious what it is we actually do. ;-) - DSMonson_CM

Yep, you have to use those for wireless packs. It's the most effective for protecting the equipment... You get used to it after wrapping 25 of them 6 times over. (I've been an A2, so I know exactly how it is. Thank you cast for cooperating!) so, do the math... Yes, that's a lot I've touched... LOL - BCC

It really won't help much at all. lol, the clerks think you're throwing some sort of party of the century. That's why it's better to order online... HAHAHA. - BCC

Hahaha! This is hilarious! Why not a sandwich bag? The folding type not the ziplock type. That's what I used to use for my radio when I'd jog in the rain. So much cheaper. - Bo22

I did sound for Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat and I used gloves. I didn't want to have to explain things to the childrens choir. Or their mothers... - ScarLover

Another 'theatre geek' here! Sandwich bags don't seal well enough and can create moisture. Plus they tend to be scratchy against your back or leg. If it was a show with kids, we'd just call them 'mic protectors' and not go into what they actually were! - Gia
