Pedometer Experiement!! I saw before that some MWs wondered about taking a pedometer with them to disneyland. Well I did that today with a small $24 pedometer from Target. I got to the parks at around 1pm and with that I took 11,825 steps, walked 5.04 miles and burned 700 calories from just one afternoon at Disneyland. So if you need a pretty EASY day of exercise, Disneyland is THE way to go!!!

That's insanely good. Just think about a FULL day to Disneyland. What you would burn off. - Katie_CM89  174.7 #1932 9:04PM
That's awesome. I wanna pick up one and find out my stats. This a Chub33 must-have! - tina  1154.7 #70 9:05PM
I'm going to tell hubby that I'm going to work out and then go to the park from now on. At least it will be the truth.  - PieEyedMickey  296.6 #628 9:06PM
Yesterday we took a Mio 1. Showed 21554 steps and 8.81 miles. Take into account small steps in cues and ride bumps etc, I'd say prob 7.75 - 8 miles. And we ate decently which was good for a change. - HotDiggityDogDaddy  1112.2 #74 9:07PM
Lol now we should not have excuses about excersizing hahahahaha. Disneyland a few times a week and you're set - Katie_CM89  174.7 #1932 9:08PM
SweetMommaK bought me the cutest Mickey pedometer!! I cant wait to use it next time Im at DL! - Calypso  812.9 #113 9:08PM
AP is about the same price as a gym membership. - Nickelnorm  101.4 #3020 9:09PM
That is so cool Calypso. Wonder where she found that. - HotDiggityDogDaddy  1112.2 #74 9:10PM
Lol and you have more fun at Disney than a gym - Katie_CM89  174.7 #1932 9:10PM
I'm sure if I had gotten there @ 9 with the kidlets, it would have been way more! Still, I was pleasently surprised! - Elder1971  4.8 #10897 9:10PM

 Emporium and Star Trader were out of them but I found them at World of Disney. $8.95 - PrinceCorey  4242.2 #6 12:40PM
That is cool, someone needs to map out a MouseWait Workout - how many miles if you start at Disneyland, get all of the wait times for all of the rides, then finish by getting all the times at DCA - Admin 1:05PM
@Admin, sounds like an idea for MW 2.0. - Luis  37.5 #4088 1:10PM
Who can take a guess at how many miles the MouseWait Workout would be? - Admin 1:34PM
Kella brings a pedometer and once walked 17 miles after a whole day from 9 am until 11 - Dave  8669.7 #2 1:38PM
Wow. No wonder DL is always so tiring. - Ht  614.0 #178 2:14PM
23 miles Admin! - WaltSentMe  316.7 #539 2:25PM
After an hour walking, I accidentally hit the reset button. D'oh!  - PrinceCorey  4242.2 #6 2:28PM
Hahaha, that's close Dave!! I walked 21 miles my longest day at Disney! Usually go between 8-15 miles depending on how long I stay for one day! - Kellacool  1609.8 #47 2:46PM
 Okay! Just walked the entire park from the base of the train steps to Pooh. My official Mickey pedometer counts this as 2903 steps. Started at 4:00, entered every ride time (check me on this Admin) but didn't stop to ride anything. Gonna try DCA next!  - PrinceCorey  4242.2 #6 3:48PM
I always told my friends that disneyland is a form of excerise now I have something to back me up! HaHaha - Briana  225.7 #1295 4:08PM
I guess if u power walk like I do I should burn even more calories - JimW  1072.5 #80 4:10PM
Yeah, I was walking at a pretty good clip except for where  thwarted me! - PrinceCorey  4242.2 #6 4:23PM
DCA = 2737 steps. From hub to hub, all wait times. Have to calculate what that means in real distance.  - PrinceCorey  4242.2 #6 6:41PM
Well here's a little fun fact for ya - a 4 oz serving of Dole Whip only has 80 callories. - BlueberryCrusader  650.7 #161 6:43PM
