Qestion. my mom has a hard time walking/standing for long periods of time. we are going to Disneyland this week. will she be able to get some sort of pass?

Rent her a wheelchair and go to city hall to get a guest assistance pass. It's up to the cm what kind of assistance she needs. - SarahInWonderland  42.9 #5078 10:00PM
Go to city hall and ask them for a guest assistance card or rent a wheelchair. If you go with the GAC just tell them why she needs it - Stitch&Angel  6.5 #14973 10:02PM
I agree with SiW. Rent her a wheelchair. - mcarthy6  426.5 #517 10:02PM
If you get a wheelchair/scooter you do NOT need a card. - Romec123aKaSmartyPants  751.8 #251 10:03PM
ξŒ‡wheel chair if she can't walk for long, I do the same thing for my son with special needs! - dizzylandjunky  224.9 #1672 10:04PM
Go to city hall. They have passes. My SIL was also talking to a CM about her mom who's in a wheel chair. He told us that he can give us a pass that we can use that says we can come back after the posted wait time and get right onto the ride. That way she isn't in line for long periods of time. - VeloMouseGirl  549.8 #371 10:04PM
ξŒ‡@velomousegirl, is that new? Cause sometimes the wheel chair line is longer than the regular line. Never heard of this before. So you go to city hall with the wheel chair and ask for it or you do it at each attraction? - dizzylandjunky  224.9 #1672 10:09PM
@dizzylandjunky I'd never heard of it before yesterday. It was a CM at midway mania that told us about it. I know the wheelchair line for SM is horrible. It may be for attractions that don't have wheelchair lines. (?) We need to find out more before we take her Mom. - VeloMouseGirl  549.8 #371 10:15PM
One of the longest walks for me was to/from the hotel . I recently visited Disneyland after having surgery, and rather than pay $12/day for a wheelchair I could only use at the park, I rented one for the whole week for $25. I didn't use it all the time, but it was great to have it when I needed it. - PrincessKristin  780.8 #240 10:18PM
The return passes are mostly for midway mania and now little mermaid. If the wait time for example is 30 minutes and you can't stand that long/or whatever your reason and you have a GAC they give you a pass to return in 30 minutes. That's mostly only done at DCA. DL you just use the alternate entrance (usually the exit). What bothers me is that not everyones disabilty requires a wheelchair. Does that make ones disability less than those in a wheelchair? Once at Midway mania the person sitting in the wheelchair was passed into the attraction before the person who I was with who can't stand beyond 12-15 minutes yet was told to return with the return time pass even with a GAC with it's special little symbol. Made me wonder that person is SITTING with a broken foot yet they go before the ONE who CAN'T stand long. Sort of funny. I've heard other people who've experienced the same. - Romec123aKaSmartyPants  751.8 #251 10:29PM
Thank you for the additional information. :-) My SIL's Mom can only go on rides where you don't have to transfer (except maybe soaring. She could probably handle that). Midway Mania is one of the few. - VeloMouseGirl  549.8 #371 10:43PM
Thanks for the info eveyone!! (: - Gabby959  9.5 #11352 8:55PM
