Wow, all gone?? That stinks!! . Remember when Locker RAKs lasted all day!! Next time I'm in the parks, I'm goin to do a locker RAK and sit and watch for these horrible scavengers who take more than what they should. Then I will take their photo and post it on Mousewait. So beware scavengers, I'm coming to catch you! - nittywitty

If you claimed a friend please sign in. 12 friends gone and not enough comments to know who got to have some joy!?! - DisneyDancer
134.1 #2532 11:44AM
Yea. The kids were very exited but I told them people that needed them more than us got them. Then they were ok. - archer

When I checked in, some were gone but there were still about 4 beanies left. - PrinceCorey
4242.2 #6 11:53AM
It seems the ones with pics get the trolls. Maybe we shouldn't show what's in it and they will be too lazy to check. Does that make sense? - SueBayou
2012.0 #34 12:29PM
We didn't post pics of the inside of our LR @Sue and the trolls cleaned it out, we need to figure out a new system though cause it really saddens the kiddies who get so excited about doing for others! - donnievegas

Awe that is so cool :)) wish I was there :)) - Panda89
118.5 #2760 12:44PM
i like what chumash said about just meeting up in person or what about texting so there is a record of who got the code then the culprits will be narrowed down? idk but this is all too lame to happen to people who are just trying to have a giving, sharing spirit! - grapesoda
145.2 #2362 12:49PM
Good point @ DV. Maybe texting is the way to go, has anyone tried it? Maybe a little hidden camera in the locker lol. - SueBayou
2012.0 #34 12:55PM
wow me and the boy got eeyore this morning and there was tons left and we even left two pins for you guys. can't believe people just took everything! :( - ericuhhhh
28.0 #4468 12:56PM
It's a shame trolls have to mess it up. A big part of the magic and fun is being able to give anonymously. I love the surprise aspect of it. - VeloMouseGirl
549.7 #202 12:59PM
Disney has cameras in the locker rooms. Maybe they can let you watch. You do have exact times of some events. Just a thought. Then you can maybe hunt them down in the park if they're still there - TheDonald
72.3 #3372 1:00PM
This irritates the heck out of me. Last time we participated in a locker RAK it was also for a child, an everything got swiped then too....I'm texting you now so I can send a few things to you for the kids via postal service. - pridegirl
377.2 #362 1:00PM
I think the txtin code would work or maybe we could have them find a cm like bbm or cmbaloo to get the code ??? And we need to stop using 1955 way to common - mommy_likes_minnie
270.8 #818 1:05PM
For future reference, texting the code is a good idea for now. - Starr
549.9 #201 1:07PM
I think it should be a code that is personal to you. Have folks txt you with their txt number for you to respond back. I for one have problems searching from MW so I have to find a post with their name in order to respond..that's why I would need a txt number. - Gia

This entire stream breaks my heart. How are you supposed to show your children kindness, a giving heart, compassion and so on, when people ruin the meaning of a RAK by stealing? Shame on them! I can only say that their life is miserable and all I can do is feel sorry for them. Any respectable human being wouldn't do such thing. - PirateJedsMommy
141.5 #2420 2:12PM
When i first read about these locker RAKs i thought Wow that sounds really fun. I can't believe some people are abusing the system. Is it so hard to share? - Jillian
765.4 #129 2:19PM
Bummer... sorry you locker is empty. Maybe later in the day someone will surprise you. - MeAndMy3Girls
176.4 #1908 2:21PM
That is so wrong of people! - NightmareKaren
277.6 #747 2:27PM
What if they weren't stolen. Maybe peeps got them as a rak. The clue for the code wasn't that hard to figure out. Lets not think negative about this. But in the future, why not make it a locker scavenger hunt? Atleast, that way the culprits would have to work for it. Food for thought. - KILLtheCHICKENS
4.4 #11982 2:40PM
And if its a RAK, why did you post a pic of ur sad kids? Why update where u were, where u going next, and ask for something to cheer you up? This seems like more of a "give us free stuff" scam to me - gobigdan
6.4 #8644 2:49PM
Okay I would understand if it said don't worry about trading but this post said our kids would love to trade for something so obviously they were expecting something in return in previous locker raks it is more like a trade so people are abusing the system. - SarahInWonderland
42.9 #3908 3:04PM
Then it needs to be called a locker trade not locker RAK. - TickledTink
352.8 #406 3:06PM
@Romec123 But even I if it was a RAK and not a trade, you can't really believe that only one person can take everything! It's called sharing! - YoungDisney
369.0 #373 3:12PM
Okay sure if you didn't read the whole post it does say locker rak but it does say they want to trade something for these!!!!! Most locker RAKs are locker trades and unless specifically said so you should assume that it's not just a grab and go! - SarahInWonderland
42.9 #3908 3:15PM
I did a locker rak and we ended up with hardly anything, what disappointed me was not that we ended up with nothing left, I was disappointed that there were a bunch of people who took too much and didnt leave notes. The point for me was to see everyone's cool messages and spread the magic. If you want to take something and not leave something fine, but take 1 and leave a little note. That way everyone enjoys - Pixarprincess
531.4 #215 3:24PM
Okay well maybe I'm wrong but I'm the kind of person who would leave something in return and I'm sure several other people here are too. They were obviously expecting something in return and if you are the type of person who would just take something then you can do that I just question what type of person you are but that's my opinion an no one is going to say YOU MUST trade something because that would make them sound really rude so they are going to say something like what they said. I translate that as a locker trade while you may not. I'm not going to try to change your mind because obviously there is no way I can change it. - SarahInWonderland
42.9 #3908 3:43PM
I agree with @Sarah. Its more logical to trade so then there could be more to share! Then if someone goes there will be something for them, and they won't be sad. - YoungDisney
369.0 #373 3:45PM
@youngdisney thanks for backing me up I'm glad someone feels the same way as me - SarahInWonderland
42.9 #3908 3:47PM
@Sarah No problem! I got your back! :) - YoungDisney
369.0 #373 3:54PM
to bad trolls could care less about any of your backs - toph
2398.4 #25 3:56PM
Ok folks - I know I'm posting late on this, and may have an unpopular opinion...but here goes... What if the people who took an item were genuinely honoring the RAK as it was intended and just didn't have a phone to say thank you yet on MW? I know for me, I don't have and Android or Iphone, so anything I post is from a laptop - so if I got to the parks - I won't be able to say thank you on MW until I got home. I agree with @romec. However, I do also agree that everyone should at the very least write a "thank you" with their MW name in the locker on a piece of paper or something...and then that person should make an effort to host a RAK for others at a future date (reciprocate the kindness!!). Doesn't mean they are a bad person, simply because they don't leave something in the locker at that moment. What if they did their own very generous RAK from home the next day? Just my two cents...if it is going to offend people that items aren't traded...then the name of the game should be Locker Trade. I'm more concerned about seeing someone's face light up when they find something I've placed in the locker RAK, then expecting that person to leave something in return. The important thing is to remember what a RAK was originally intended for, and if you are the beneficiary this time, you must "pay it forward" very soon! :o) - Alicewhoareyou
536.0 #209 4:04PM
Oh, and just know that I think its absolutely AWFUL if someone did, in fact, take everything. That would be despicable. - Alicewhoareyou
536.0 #209 4:06PM
Though I really don't so much agree with your theory Alice you do present a good point. One can now only hope you are right. Maybe someone should bump the locker rak general rules lol.
I will simply agree to disagree at this time.

I'm done with this topic sorry if people don't agree with me but that is my opinion - SarahInWonderland

Banana? Lol... is that code for this conversation is done? Haha I like it! - OB1JacoB
104.7 #2972 4:16PM
LOL! Ok, thank you everyone. I appreciate your kindness towards my thoughts :) On another note...I'm trying to plan my first RAK next time I'm in the park on October 2nd...I may not have a "frilly" photo to post on MW (since I don't have an Iphone), but I'll definitely let you all know what I'm wearing and think of something to give and hopefully you'll find me. :D - Alicewhoareyou
536.0 #209 4:17PM
Maybe since we all have smart phones. If you are going to do a RAK make a new yahoo or gmail account just for your RAKS. You can put the email address in your RAK. People could email you for the code. When you email them back you can tell them the instructions. Then you will know how many you gave the code too! And ad far as leaving something. I think it's hard for some lil ones to understand they have to give something to get something. It's not charity. Yes it's good to teach our kids this, but sometimes it's fun for them to just get something and write a lil thank you note! It is Disneyland! When we tried to do a locker RAK it took Lexi (7) forever to find something she didn't like to buy, to leave to trade for something else. It was really counter productive. I think to leave a post card with a note saying thank you, would have been a much better experience. Just my 2 cents! :) - Minnis2Society
360.0 #388 4:28PM
And if you don't have a smartphone. I would be willing to do the emailing while your in the park if that would help out!! - Minnis2Society
360.0 #388 4:33PM
I agree with not calling it a RAK if you want or expect something in return. I'd call it a Locker Trade. I wouldn't mind if people took one thing and just left me a note saying hi or something. But like someone else said, we should just do away with Locker RAKs all together. Too many things happen. I would rather find someone or have them find me. - AndReallyBadEggs
251.9 #993 5:04PM
Because in a locker there is more than one winner! Not just one person take the load! - YoungDisney
369.0 #373 5:14PM
@ romec123, its clear that the kids were expecting to find goodies. They were there to pick up what PrinceCorey had left for them! Instead, someone cleaned out the locker. It's obvious that they had bad intentions. There was a picture of the stuff that was up for grabs, all beanie babies. If they cleaned out the pins and other goodies then they're thieves. How can you explain that to kids? "Oh a RAK means its okay for them to take what was left for you"? - PirateJedsMommy
141.5 #2420 5:15PM
I do think that the happy birthday RAK's with the notebook to write a message is fun. But don't leave anything besides birthday notes! It's useless to trolls and priceless for bday person! - Minnis2Society
360.0 #388 5:16PM
From the other post, it sounded like an MWer left something specific for the kids and let DisneyDancer know somehow. I think that's why the kids were sad. I could be wrong. But I agree with all the locker trade stuff or do away with it - cesium55
529.7 #216 5:18PM
And I think if you have something to give to the specific person they should find each other. There is always a chance it will get taken from a locker. - Minnis2Society
360.0 #388 5:21PM
Another problem with locker RAKs is if you're going to trade and post it for many to see, something you want might be traded before you get there like romec said and the person may not have known it wasn't for taking. Please let's just banana this and move on. (yes i realize my post right now continues it) - cesium55
529.7 #216 5:24PM
I'm sure that RAK's aren't about getting into arguments either... I didn't mean to attack you, you sent me a comment and I was simply trying to explain where I was coming from. Cause u "didn't get" me. In all fairness, if they knew about the RAK, we have to assume they saw the picture of the BEANIE BABIES. Everything else, they could've assumed it was for the owners of the locker. Whether it was one person or 10,000. Common courtesy, people. - PirateJedsMommy
141.5 #2420 5:27PM
It's called "RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS"
If you do a RAK , it defeats the purpose to WANT something in return, no? ... Just sayin.. - ponyboy
22.7 #4835 5:29PM
"Sharing is caring" and it's interesting reading over how everyone is picking over the semantics of a RAK vs Trade vs what's posted. I would think testing for the code would solve alot of problems, even though it won't prevent the code from being shared between others who could still clean the locker out. - theDebsterM
138.2 #2471 5:36PM
I read that too romec. Plus most of these are trade among the many visitors to lockers. People can't expect the beanies to stay there. Aaaw nevermind. Why do I continue to respond ? - cesium55
529.7 #216 5:37PM
1- the word RAK is thrown around too much and it's losing its meaning. 2- it said "if you want" which means optional, not required. 3- However, I do think it's mean for someone to be greedy and take everything or a whole bunch of things. 4- BUT you don't know that only one person took everything, as there was an hour between PrinceCorey leaving some things and the next person saying it was empty. - TickledTink
