So after spending a valuable 45mins. In 110* to sort holiday decorations with the in-laws, we stopped at our soon to be rental property to discover the water heater has been leaking for about 3weeks. Please send pixie dust!!! (or hugs)

Flooring is destroyed. Sub-floor is buckling under my weight. We lost a box of books and some old towels. His grandma's silver will live but the box isn't so pretty now. I'm tired!!!! - JenAnneWho

@JenAnne, I really feel for you. Does pixie dust act as an absorbent? That can get expensive with the water damage and the chance of mold. I had water under my rental in GJ and it cost $$$ to get it dry. How about a dole whip or a bottle of my wine? - sr citizen space ranger

Forget the wine.. You need some Tequila! We had to redo our whole kitchen because they forgot to glue the drain coming from the sink upstairs and the wall was full of mold. Be careful!!! - SueBayou

I am so sorry! I am a landlord so I know what you're going through. FYI be careful putting in a water claim to your insurance company especially if you're in California. With this much damage it is probably what you need to do but be careful. - sewgirl

The insurance adjuster comes Thursday. 2 bookcases died, thankfully they were mostly empty...on the bright side we're closer to getting rental ready. - JenAnneWho

Good luck with everything! Hope it can be rented soon. I think you need a trip to DL. - sewgirl
