Wish me luck, I'm going to try and convince my in-laws to a Disney trip. They've not been in like 15 years. The proposal is to make memories with their new step-grandkids. I hope they say yes!!!
If logic and reason fail send in the grand kids. Good luck. - hahalina

I actually just proposed this to my in-laws last night! We've already booked our trip and thought they might like to go also. My MIL sounded quite interested - especially when I told her how cheap it is right now! Under $2000 for everything!! Good luck!! - AbbyDLfriend

It doesn't look promising though they said they'll consider it. I'm not holding much hope. Mom might, but doubtful, and dad is pretty much a no. :( they've not been in over 20years and I was so hoping to make some memories with my kids and them..gotta find a new plan for that. - JenAnneWho

@JenAnne, just give them a cooling off period. They may be afraid of the crowds. I know that you will win them over. Good luck. - sr citizen space ranger

You may be right scsr. I also think we asked at a bad moment. We'd just spent 30mins in their garage (110*) going through Christmas decorations. Dad was overheated and tired. - JenAnneWho

Maybe they're intimidated by the crowds and walking, etc. I bet if you arranged for a kick back day in the park with a parade, dinner, a trip on the Lilly Belle and a few rides thrown in, they'd have a magical time with your kids! Good luck! - Mimmy

I hope they change their mind. They would be crazy to pass up an opportunity to bond & create Disney memories with your kids! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad

My FIL didn't want to come but my wife guilt him into it. It was horrible. He complained about everything..food, price, crowds etc. As nice as you are trying to be and make great memories, it can backfire. - angryduck

@JenAnne, I didn't mean cooling off period literally. They may not know how wonderful the parks happen to be in the autumn. - sr citizen space ranger
